Xiaomi Mi Band 5 Offers Proximity Payments; Price Similar to Band 4
TinzenHelp has reached information about the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 fitness wristband. According to the leak, it is to have an AMOLED 1.2 inch screen with higher brightness and an NFC module.
There was a leak on TinzenHelp about the new version of the Xiaomi Mi Band fitness band. According to these reports, model 5 will have a brighter and larger AMOLED screen (1.2 inches, in the previous model it was 0.95 inches) and a novelty that many users will be very happy to accept - an NFC module supporting the Google Pay payment system.
Importantly, the device will most likely be sold at a price close to its predecessor. In China, Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is reportedly priced at 179 yuan, only 10 yuan more than the previous model. It is worth recalling that on the day of its launch in official distribution, the Mi Band 4 band was sold for $39.99.
Mi Band is a very popular series of fitness devices. The fourth edition of the Chinese company's wristband is the best selling equipment of this type in the world (in the third quarter of last year, 12.2 million units were delivered to customers). Thanks to the success of this line, Xiaomi is the market leader in wearable devices (with a 27% share).
According to the editors of TinzenHelp, the Xiaomi Mi Band 5 will debut in China on June 5, this year.
