Resident Evil Village: Elena - can her fate be changed?

On this page of the Resident Evil Village guide, you will learn whether it is possible to change Elena's fate, the girl you encountered during your first visit to the village.

Elena is the girl you will meet while exploring the village in the early stages of the game. She is one of the last people living in the village who were not devoured by Lycans.

During the first encounter, you will learn that Elena's father, Leonardo, is seriously injured. The girl will ask Ethan to help her hide in Louisa's house. This is a simple task - you end Elena have to go through the window at the back of the hut and unlock the locked gate from the other side.

After gaining access to Louisa's house and completing a prayer with the surviving villagers, Leonardo will begin to transform into a monster. You will be forced to attack him. However, Elena will be the one to finish Leonardo off.

Unfortunately, Elena will die while escaping from Louisa's burning house. This will happen specifically during the climb, shortly after starting the car and crashing it. The girl's death will occur after the reappearance of her mutated father, Leonardo. Elena's death is predetermined – she can't be saved.
