Resident Evil Village: Four Angels' Busts Puzzle solution

The starting location of the bust puzzle

The Four Angels' Busts puzzle can be solved in the Hall of the Four on the first floor of Dimitrescu Castle. The main character arrives at this location for the first time shortly after entering the castle.

After the four bust statues slide out, you will learn that you need to find 4 masks. You will find the described in the following points below, and since they are related to the main journey through the castle, you can't miss them.

Mask of Sorrow

You will get this mask after escaping from Lady Dimitrescu in the castle Dungeon. Ethan will go through several corridors and reach the Hall of Sorrow with the mask altar.

Mask of Pleasure

You will obtain this mask just before the fight with Lady Dimitrescu's second daughter. Ethan must use the previously acquired Dimitrescu's Key to unlock the door to the Hall of Pleasure. It is on the first floor, south of the main lobby of the Main Hall.

Mask of Joy

You will get this mask right after dealing with the third vampire in the Library. Adjacent to the Library is the Hall of Joy, which contains another altar with the mask.

Mask of Rage

You will obtain this mask after crossing the castle roof, during which you'll have to eliminate some flying monsters. Apart from that, Ethan must slide down the rope to the adjacent section of the roof. This is the Tower of Rage.

Placing the masks on the busts

Return to the Hall of the Four. Thankfully, the puzzle solution is very simple, because each mask fits to only one bust. As a result, you can complete the puzzle by trial-and-error, i.e. by trying to place each mask from your inventory on a given statue until you get it right.

Placing the masks may be disrupted by Lady Dimitrescu. If you see (or hear) her approaching, quickly hide in the Merchant's Room, which she cannot enter. Solving the puzzle will open a large gate and unlock the way to the Tower of Worship.
