You can do many things in Stardew Valley, but there are even more things that you cannot do, for a fast and effective development! These are several hints and phenomena that you should avoid in Stardew Valley!
- Do not plant before the end of the season!
- Do not go to sleep past 2 p.m.!
- Do not go into the mine without provisions!
- Do not upgrade the watering can just at ANY moment!
- Do not ignore birthdays!
- Do not store expensive fish in your fridge!
- Do not remove the destroyed fence!
- Do not buy animals before you build a silo!
Do not plant before the end of the season!
Each seed has a specific growth period that you can look up in your inventory. If the season ends in 2 days and you plant, you will be unable to harvest crops.
Do not go to sleep past 2 p.m.!
Because the game will not let you anyways. Staying up after 2 p.m. leads to loss of consciousness. Neither coffee nor cola will help you. Simply, your farmer cannot burn the midnight oil. If you happen to lose consciousness, you will wake up on the next morning, but with only a half of your health!
Do not go into the mine without provisions!
At the beginning of the game, you will often set out to the mine with your stomach empty, but if you want to reach deeper than level 5, you will require provisions to replenish your health.
Do not upgrade the watering can just at ANY moment!
Upgrading the watering can means that you lose it for an entire day. This means that you will, be unable to water your plants. Plan on the upgrade beforehand by watching TV. If the weather forecast tells you that it is going to rain on the next day, water your plants and have your watering can upgraded. ON the next day, the rain will do your job and in two days, you will receive the upgraded can.
Do not ignore birthdays!
Of course, you can play as a complete recluse and society outcast, but it is much better to have a rich social life! Birthdays is when you can buy somebody a gift and their sympathy towards you will grow significantly (the hearts)! You can check birthday dates in your calendar.
Do not store expensive fish in your fridge!
Unless you want to eat it, and not sell or use.
Do not remove the destroyed fence!
Replace it with a new one.
Do not buy animals before you build a silo!
Otherwise, winter season will drive you to ruin - silo is a building, where the grass you mow is stored as food for your animals.
