Void Bastards: How to get ammo?

How to get ammunition?

The easiest way to get ammo is to look for loot while exploring enemy ships. Ammunition can lie in plain sight or be stored in interactive containers.

Another way is to buy ammunition on Krell-Mart ships, which appear in the nebula. After docking the ship, go to the terminals that sell ammunition. Make sure what type of ammunition you need - each of the main weapons uses a different type of bullets.

The last main way is to find ammo packs on the nebula map. The package presented in the picture will give you Zapper ammo. Once you reach a field with ammo, you will get its random amount.

How to deal with the shortage of ammunition?

Your main goal should always be not to start the mission with a small amount of ammunition. This problem can be partially solved after unlocking new weapons from blueprints. Start a mission with a weapon for which you have the most ammunition. An exception to this rule is when the specifics of the mission (for example, you face only mechanical enemies) suggest you to take a specific model weapon.

Blueprints helpful in getting ammo

Get blueprints from the Hunter group to increase your chances of getting more ammunition. The picture above shows Bullet Hunter, one of such projects. After you craft it, ammo will start appearing in HAB sections on enemy ships. You can also unlock other blueprints for the rest of the main weapons (Trap Hunter, Zap Hunter, etc.).
