AC Odyssey: Can legendary items be removed from the inventory?
Last update:
In Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, the main character can find or receive legendary golden items. Here, you can learn whether the game allows you to remove these types of items from your inventory or not.
Basic information

Legendary golden items are extremely rare during the first few hours. However, they become more and more common as you progress through the main storyline. Golden weapons and pieces of armor can be received, i.e. as rewards for completing certain quests, found on corpses of defeated mercenaries or by searching corpses of dead Cultists. Many of these items have fantastic stats but sadly with each new level they lose their value. What is more, upgrading golden weapons at a blacksmith costs a lot (both resources and gold).
You can't remove legendary items from your inventory by selling or dismantling them. They don't appear on the list of items that you can sell when you are talking with a blacksmith. The dismantling option doesn't appear when you move your cursor over them.

Chest on Adrestia
The 1.0.3 update for Assassin's Creed Odyssey has introduced a new way of removing unwanted legendary items from your inventory. You can now store items in the chest located on the Adrestia (see the picture above).

Interact with the chest to store all unwanted items including legendary gear. You can always take them out without any problems. The chest can store 350 items. Another 350 items can be stored in your character's inventory. This gives you 700 slots for items - you don't have to worry that you will run out of slots for new pieces of gear.
The inability to sell and dismantle legendary items from your inventory eliminates the risk of being unable to complete their sets. Certain golden items are part of the same set (i.e. Pilgrim's) - equip them all to unlock new and powerful bonuses. Legendary items can suddenly become more useful (after you upgrade them) when i.e. you decide to reset your build by turning your hunter into a warrior.
