Devil May Cry 5: What to do when the Devil May Cry 5 does not start?

Similarly to other games released by Capcom, the player may note a problem with Devil May Cry 5 that makes it impossible to start the game. The problem occurs when the game window disappears during the Intro sequence. The screen turns black and the game is not responding (although, it is sometimes possible to hear the music in the background).

If you see only a part of the starting screen that turns black and the game is not responding, check the applications running in the background.

Such situation might be caused by apps running in the background and offer visual tweaks - such as audio players, communicators (e.g. the Discord patch), and, most importantly, apps displaying the current Frame Rate. This is not a rule, though, and it does not apply for each such app.

• It was proven that in 90% the RivaTuner app installed with the MSI Afterburner might cause such a problem. The same issue occurs with Resident Evil 2 released by the same publisher.
