Doom Eternal: Missile incoming warning - how to react?

On this page of our guide to Doom Eternal we explain what are the alerts that inform you about incoming missiles and rockets. We also provide some advice on how to behave after you receive such warnings in order to avoid unnecessary damage.

Missiles incoming alerts appear after you are attacked by a demon with homing missiles.

After receiving the message, it is best to jump away quickly or hide behind a large obstacle (like a wall). This will increase the chances that the missiles will miss the hero or hit some other object.

Avoiding missiles doesn't solve the problem, because the same demon may launch even more projectiles at you. You can, thankfully, disturb their attacks:

1. In the case of Revenant, destroy the turrets they have mounted on their shoulders - this is their sensitive spot. To do so, you can use Shotgun's Sticky Bombs.
2. In the case of Doom Hunters, destroy their levitating pods which they use to move around the map. Depriving them of a flying platform will prevent them from carrying out missile attacks.
