Dragons Dogma 2 is set in a huge, immersive world where action and consequence play a major role and the player is just one of many inhabitants. The world evolves and changes even without your input, and same applies to quests. On this page of our guide, we explain whether the quests in the game have an imposed time limit and whether the player may suffer consequences for delaying completion of them.

Do quests have a time limit?

Yes - in Dragons Dogma 2, most quests have a limited window to complete them - Dragons Dogma 2: Do quests have a time limit? - Quests - Dragons Dogma 2 Guide

Yes - in Dragons Dogma 2, most quests have a limited window to complete them. Many of the quests will require almost immediate action to complete them successfully. This is made in order to achieve immersion and make the player understand that he is only one of the parties inhabiting this living, changing world. Time-limited quests are usually marked with an hourglass icon on the right side of the quest name in the journal.

What are the consequences of exceeding the time limit?

The consequences of not completing the quest on time differ, but are always negative. One of the exemplary time-limited quests is saving a child lost in the forest. If the player does not find the child within a few days, he will end being killed by wild animals. Depending on the task, failure may result in being unable to claim the reward or the ensuing death of a potentially important NPC. Therefore, optimal quest management is crucial - don't accept too many tasks at once, as you risk running out of time to complete them.
