First, it is worth noting that the world in Dragons Dogma 2 is indeed open. Players will be able to freely traverse vast terrains, discovering various treasures, secrets, and dangers along the way. Capcom's latest game is therefore consistent in this respect with the previous installment of the series.

Mechanics such as fast travel points and special camps that players can set up along the route will help them traverse the vast world.

What areas does the map consist of?

The map in Dragons Dogma 2 consists of 2 regions:

1 - Dragons Dogma 2: Is there an open world? - Exploration - Dragons Dogma 2 Guide
  1. Vermund - a kingdom of people full of picturesque, green lands. The heart of the region is a vast, vibrant city, at the center of which is a fortified, royal residence. The sunlit Vermund contrasts with the political intrigues unfolding behind the scenes.
The world of DD2 is also inhabited by communities of Elves, who, however, are not very willing to interact with the outside world - Dragons Dogma 2: Is there an open world? - Exploration - Dragons Dogma 2 Guide
  1. Battahal - the homeland of the Beastern race, characterized by a much harsher climate. Vast wastelands hide many relics of ancient civilizations, on the ruins of which a unique culture of animal-people was born. In this region, the accompanying Pawns are looked upon less favorably, while the faith of the inhabitants focuses around a mysterious flame surrounded by sacred reverence.

The world of DD2 is also inhabited by communities of Elves, who, however, are not very willing to interact with the outside world. The language barrier also does not help in communication. However, it can be eliminated to some extent thanks to the Pawn's specialization, who will translate this foreign language for you.
