During the Digital Dragons 2016 cinference in Kraków we got a chance to sit down with Feargus Urquhart, the CEO and founder of Obsidian Entertainment, and ask him a few questions. Feargus confirmed that Pillars of Eternity II is already in development, but the studio doesn’t want to make any official announcement yet. The sequel will most probably be crowdfunded on Kickstarter, just like the original game was.
Pillars of Eternity: Game of the Year Edition was spotted by Game Banshee on Amazon Germany priced at €49.99 and slated for release on February 19, 2016. However, the news hasn’t been confirmed by Paradox Interactive or Obsidian Entertainment.
Along with Pillars of Eternity: The White March II expansion comes a free patch to the original game. Obsidian Entertainment released a commentary video which discusses changes in 3.0 update, such as new content to stronghold, Story Time mode, new gameplay mechanics, improved UI, and late game revisions. The patch will be available the same day as The White March Part II, that is on February 16th.
