Fallout 76’s launch-day patch bigger than game itself

This year hasn't been gentle for the fans of the legendary Fallout series. First, there was the somewhat left-field announcement that the game will be multiplayer only. Things got only sketchier afterward: microtransactions, late mod support, and, behold, the recent beta, which was a true festival of bugs. After days of speculation, here it comes – Fallout 76 is not making it to Steam. Bethesda says that in order to keep things organized, the game requires Bethesda.net, and not a third-party launcher. In other words, the much anticipated post-apocalyptic MMO-RPG won’t make it to the gaming’s most popular platform. Well, at least not at launch.
