Survival horror for mobile devices and browsers was intended to offer a new era of interactive series. Players had the opportunity to actively participate in shaping the storyline and determine the characters' fates through voting. So what was the problem?
Konami has chosen to heavily monetize Silent Hill Ascension, removing all the game's attractions and hiding them behind paywalls. The more money you give to Silent Hill, the more valuable your vote will become. The item shop also includes a seasonal pass and other attractions. No need to worry, if you prefer not to pay, you'll receive a TV series to watch instead of the game. The experiment was interesting, but it was definitely unsuccessful because of greed.
