The Lord of the Rings: Gollum faced tough competition, but ultimately emerged victorious. This game will forever be remembered as a failure so severe that Daedalic withdrew from game development.
Every possible thing went wrong with The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The game was riddled with technical errors and issues. It didn't impress visually. It didn't offer any narrative attractions, and we're talking about the developers of the Deponia series of adventure games! Disappointment isn't enough to describe the impressions provided by Daedalic's latest title. The studio definitely wouldn't want to be remembered that way.
