Railroad Tycoon 3

- Platforms: PC
- Release date: October 27, 2003
The Railroad Tycoon series is, or at least should be, very important for railway enthusiasts and for people who love all tycoon games in general - the first installment of the series (1990), established by the industry legend, Sid Meier, is indeed a precursor of this genre. However, we're offering you Railroad Tycoon 3 rather than the outdated original.
The gameplay involves developing a company in the railway industry - shipping goods, not transporting people. We start our career in the 19th century in a selected area. We can use dozens of locomotives based on real machines, 30 types of cargo, and as many as 150 types of buildings. During the game, we don't just focus on dispatching additional trains onto the tracks. We will interact with other companies, either through acquisition or cooperation, handle securities, and explore 25 historical scenarios focused on railway development and revolutionary technologies.
The game from 2003 was very warmly received by both players and reviewers, same as the two earlier games. In our choice of this particular installment, we mainly considered the quality of graphics. The visuals are certainly not cutting-edge anymore, but this installment looks way better than its predecessors.
