How to handle weapons
Fancy guns
There is no greater philosophy in pulling the trigger, but CD Projekt RED has prepared enough weapons and enhancements that it's good to know how to use their full potential. In the character menu, you will find, among other things, a crafting tab and it's not rocket science. It allows us not only to create a weapon of a certain rarity (which we will get access to thanks to the perks we gain while developing our Tech capabilities), but also to upgrade what we already have. So, if you find a rifle you particularly like, you don't have to replace it as soon as you find something with 2% higher damage. You can just upgrade the weapon in the crafting tab (you need components to do that).
I also have the following message for all the fans of stealth killing: yes, silencers are common here, but using them reduces the damage even by 30%. An interesting gimmick is also the possibility of reworking guns and rifles so that they become non-lethal (this can be done through special modules that can be found on the street or purchased). Being non-lethal isn't beneficial in any way, though some missions require taking down targets without killing them. It's rather a way out for pacifists.
FOR ALL YOU GUNSMITHS
Believe me, cutting the hoodlums of various Night City gangs in half is one of the most enjoyable activities we can get during a fight. If you bought the game on GOG, you will be able to see it in the first hours of the game, as you will receive for free a special katana, the Black Unicorn (stashed in a box in V's apartment) . And besides, you'll be able to wear a T-shirt and a leather jacket with a wolf guild sign. If you bought the game on Steam, the first time you launch it, you will be asked to log into your GOG account. Do it, and you will also receive the items mentioned above.
Smart weapons
There are also rifles, which are defined as "smart," and you should get to know what they're about. Unless you are not interested in the possibility of shooting your opponents with guided bullets, but I guess you are. In any case, these weapons can only be activated if you place the right implants in your hand and these are not among the cheapest. However, you don't have to pay for them – you just have to wait until the end of the first act and carry out one of the side missions, which is connected with collecting a few prizes from Wakako. One of them is a tattoo containing such a smartlink for weapons.
