Exciting Polish Video Games Announced for 2023

Until recently, Poland could boast mainly the next RPG from CDPR, and a few original, more or less independent productions. In 2023, in turn, there are more promising Polish games than there are expansions to The Sims 4.

The atmosphere delivers. The question is - will the game be satisfying when it comes to technical aspects (photo - Paranoid, Madmin Studio, 2023)?
  1. Genre: survival horror
  2. Developers: Madmind Studio
  3. Platform: PC
  4. Is this another production in this universe: no
  5. Is it a developer debut: no

The last game from Madmind had its share of shortcomings, among them controls, compatibility, or story coherence. However, there is no denying that Agony had a big advantage - devilishly dense atmosphere. Maybe the what, where, and how were not entirely clear, but you could really feel like in hell.

Paranoid is to have the same strong points as Agony. The hero stops distinguishing reality from nightmares and his own imagination. All this to make the player feel like someone who needs urgent hospitalization.

The key issue with this title is whether all will play well technically. These shortcomings in technical aspects caused Agony to be rated poorly, and among them the reviewers listed problems with the title's performance, rough controls, and bugs. Let's hope, that this time, the developers manage to deliver a full product, so that only the hero will have problems finding himself in reality.

An independent project called 78 and a half aims at achieving a similar atmosphere. The main character is to struggle with her own fears, while remaining somehow connected with the hero of her novel, who travels through a post-apocalyptic planet full of forgotten ruins and dead gods.
