Gamepressure Games of 2020

The Last of Us: Part 2 or Cyberpunk 2077? Maybe the inconspicuous Hades, which absolutely stormed our hearts? We've chosen our games of the year.

Table of Contents

9 Baldur's Gate 3

  1. Release date: October 2020 (early access)
  2. Genre: cRPG
  3. Platform: PC

Yes, yes, we know what you're about to write - how come, after all it's an early access, the third "Baldur" hasn't had a real premiere yet, this title shouldn't be included in this list. Well, we'll perversely write back so that you don't blame us but Larian Studios which is responsible for creating a role-playing game, which in the early version beats many final editions of games released by the competition.

And yet the authors of the Divinity series did not have an easy task - they faced the absolute legend of the cRPG genre and were not afraid to do it on their own terms, which at the very first announcements provoked a lot of negative feedback from the most orthodox fans. Big changes have paid off - the game perfectly combines what made Baldur's Gate so special with modern solutions.

Already at this stage, Baldur's Gate 3 draws you into a perfectly created world, giving you the promise of an interesting storyline, the beginning of which is filled with interesting characters, reliable dialogues, and surprising plot twists. It also impresses with the freedom of problem solving, a well-designed combat system and a great character creation tool - everything you can expect from a good RPG.
