Hollywood in games – the familiar faces of Death Stranding

Hideo Kojima will soon unleash his opus magnum, which will feature prominent actors that we've seen in Star Wars, The Walking Dead, Spectre or latest Tarantino's.

Jeff Keatley as Ludens Fan and Conan O'Brien as Wondering MC

The most surprising guest appearances we're aware of in Death Stranding include Geoff Keighley and Conan O'brien. The first of these is a Canadian presenter and gaming journalist, a prominent figure of the gaming world, known mainly for the Game Awards. The annual celebration started in 2014, and it awards the best video games; it's sometimes called the Oscars of gaming. Kayleigh is also the main producer of this ceremony and its host.

It is no secret that the canadian journalist has madfriends with Hideo Kojim many years ago, and his appearance in the game is precisely the result of this friendship. He will play "Ludens Fan" – Lundens is the mascot and icon of Kojima's studio. Ludens Fan dwells in a bunker filled with posters of the said mascot, and asks Sam to build bridges to help him join the network of the United Cities of America.

Knightley will lend the character only the appearance. Ludens Fan will be voiced by Matthew Mercer, whose voice we could hear in the roles of Leon S. Kennedy in the Resident Evil games, McCrea in Overwatch or McCready in Fallout 4.

Conan O'brien is a famous American comedian and host of popular talk shows such as Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. In Death Stranding will play Wondering MC, another character in the game that Sam will try to connect to the network. If our cooperation with him is successful, Wondering MC will give us an unusual gift. Unfortunately, we don't know if Conan O'brien's gave both his voice and appearance, or just the latter.
