Final Fantasy 7 told a story that captivated not only jRPG fans, contributing to the creation of a whole series of spin-offs, full-length anime, a mobile game and even a novel. The game became extremely popular thanks to incredible playability and a dazzling audiovisual setting, but also a great story. And at the heart of it, was Tifa Lockhart.
The girl was born in Nibelheim, where she met Cloud, the protagonist of the game. She secretly had a crush on him, but was unable to express her feelings. After many years of separation, she joined him, fighting together against Sephiroth (in a nutshell; the plot in Final Fantasy 7 really is anything but banal).
Tifa is a valuable asset not only for Cloud's team, but also for the players. She's great in hand-to-hand combat, dealing big damage with great speed. This is especially useful during boss fights. All those who have often chosen it to fight will surely know what chaos can be sown with the use of Feathered Gloves. And combat prowess is not the only advantages of Tifa. It's impossible not to like this heroine, especially when you know how much she had to go through in her short life.
Although Final Fantasy 6 never gained as much popularity as the next installment of this famous series, the biographies of at least a few of its heroes matched the complexity of the biographies of characters from part seven. The best back story is, next to Locke's, the origin of Celes Chere. The beautiful general of the Empire was accused of treason and imprisoned. Her release allows the player not only to learn about the fate of Celes, but also to use her increasingly powerful abilities, reaching higher levels of spells.
