Almost the perfecy sandbox game, as long as the player is prepared for slow-paced narrative, many hours of lonely exploration and the graphic wonders that indie developers never dreamed of. The console version, especially the one for Xbox One X, was roasting eyeballs with sheer quality, and it got even better on PCs, though not quite as stable as we would have liked it. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough. The leisurely pace and dozens of hours required to complete the game meant that the finale was seen by only a third of players.
The first RDR never reached PC users, but it received a wonderful remaster on Xbox One, offering both smoother animations and 4K resolution. Does this version ever get a chance to leave Microsoft's console? I doubt it. The second game is an entirely different matter, as it has already made it to PCs. Interestingly, significantly fewer PC owners have finished the game, but a little more did it in 100 %.
Did you know that the true finale of John Marston's story in the first Red Dead Redemption was seen on Xbox 360 by around 22% of players and approx. 29% on PlayStation 3. It may not seem strange at first glance, after all, as not everyone is a specialist in hidden endings, but in fact the epilogue was available to any player who would complete just one more mission after what happened on the farm.
