Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare

IN A NUTSHELL
  1. Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
  2. Developer: Infinity Ward / Beenox Inc.
  3. Genre: FPS

I think everyone has heard about milking brands, and Activision is certainly one of the masters in this field. Of course, that's not a bad thing, after all, the definitions of supply and demand are familiar to every businessman and marketing person. If the gamers want to play Call of Duty and are willing to buy the subsequent instalments every year, the developers will not complain of boredom. Modern Warfare is perhaps the most famous installment of the series, perhaps not counting the iconic second game. The latter, however, is probably remembered only by old guard, because the last game in the series that was set during World War II did not quite capture our hearts. However, the return to modern battlefield was very well received.

The completely revamped and widely praised Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, however, was completed by just over a third of players. It seems strange, because everyone can run around with a rifle and shoot people jumping out from behind the corners. All the more so at normal difficulty – I don't want to be mean, but CoDs are one of those games that pretty much complete themselves. Higher levels are a different breed, though – these can be a big challenge and the fact that just 15% of players beat them doesn't surprise me at all. To this day, I remember how many years ago I took up the challenge of playing through Call of Duty 2 on Veteran. I've made it, but the trauma prevented me from repeating such a feat again, in any of the subsequent CoD games.

Did you know that as many as 57.84% of PlayStation 4 owners completed the single-player campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered at any difficulty level? That's quite a lot, considering that the game was only a slightly revamped version of the original.
