The Saints Row series has come a long way since the release of the first installment back in 2006. What started as a reasonably realistic GTA clone, turned into an edgy and absurd game much different from... well, pretty much anything that's on the market right now. And that was a great decision, as it produced some of the best open-world action games, realizing original ideas instead of just copying them.

A great example of this is the latest – although already pretty old – game in the series, Saints Row IV. We play as the leader of the free world, who, using superhero powers and some really absurd technologies, tries to repel the invasion of aliens. The highlight of the game is the sequence, in which we disarm an incoming nuke, sitting on the darn thing (flying at suborbital altitude), and listening to I Don't Want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith (here it is!).

Why is it worth it?

If you love free, crazy action, and tales concieved in the haze of absurdity, it doesn't get much better.
