Back to the hidden roots
You didn't think Ubisoft could do without another Assassin's Creed, did you? This time it's Mirage, which will take us to 9th century Baghdad . We will play the role of Basim Ibn Ishaq, known from Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and learn his story before joining the assassin brotherhood. Interestingly, this installment of the series is considered a spin-off, which serves as an excuse for the creators to move away from sandbox gameplay model in favor of an adventure-action game.
For the fans
In Assassin's Creed Mirage we will have a much smaller area to explore. More emphasis was placed on sneaking, acrobatics and figuring stuff out. Stealth will once again play a significant role in the game, as will the plot. If anyone dreams of the series returning to its roots, this installment is set to fulfill that fantasy. And at least partly, because in Mirage, there will be plenty of elements known from newer installments, such as upgrading equipment or using a bird companion, and the big novelty will be the ability to slow time down.
