"We will stick to RPGs"
Not too long ago, the gaming community was buzzing about when GTA6 would finally drop. Now comes the equally nerve-wracking wait, at least for me, for Warhorse Studios to announce their new game. Honestly, I'm more curious about the theme and setting of the new title than the actual release date, which is still a ways off. Could it be KCD3? Or is the world of KCD a solid foundation for other stories? Is it already a universe?
We haven't created any universe because everything in KCD is based on historical realities, on real places, events, and people. That universe already existed; we just paid it a visit. With KCD1, we hoped that more people would create games like this. So far, it hasn’t happened so much. I remember that an Italian journalist said to me that he hoped there would be a game about Italian medieval history. I would love to see more games like this.
As for our games... we know we want to stick to RPGs! This is where we feel at home. We want to make more RPGs, we want to make them more immersive, it is a trademark of Warhorse studios. But we also want to eventually start something new. We are prototyping different stuff. But not all prototypes move to the next phase to become real game. We are testing new ideas, new mechanics, new technologies, and talking with partners. We are now 280 people, and everyone has to have something to do, so concept artists are doing a lot.
We are trying to be as transparent as we can be, and for us it's always: community first approach, even if it sounds cliché. Once we have something, we let people know. For now, we're wrapping up the year of Kingdom Come, taking a well-deserved vacation in December, and starting work on something new in the new year!

So, all we can do now is wait for new announcements and updates from Warhorse Studios. The year 2025 was filled with many awesome games, but we started it with Henry in February and will end it with Henry, thanks to the November DLC – Mysteria Ecclesiae. Hope the DLC turns out to be as great as it sounds.
