On this guide page to Farming Simulator 22, you will read how to refill tanks in vehicles and machines - how to load seeds and fertilizer into the seeder) or planter, how to transport seeds, or where you can refill containers in machines with lime.
Many machines require refilling tanks. This is easy when refueling vehicles or refilling a trailer from a silo - in both cases, you simply have to position yourself in the right place and press the indicated key. However, refilling other tanks, such as seeders, sprayers, or manure spreaders can cause some problems.
To refill your tanks with seeds or synthetic fertilizer, you must purchase the necessary resource in a store. Different resources are packed on pallets or in bags. Drive your machine near the purchased pallet and start filling (you should see a notification about being able to start filling up the trailer in the help panel). Sometimes, the machine has to be opened before it can be refilled. You'll often need several bags to fill up a machine.
The most common mistake is parking too far away from the loading/unloading point. Keep in mind that it's not the tractor that has to be near the target - it's the machine/trailer.
To gain access to selected materials near your fields you can transport the bags or pallets wherever you want and leave them there. If you don't like loading small pallets manually, you can also fill the trailers with bags. You can dump materials near the field they're used on and refill the machines directly from the resulting pile - for convenience, you should first set a different texture there, for example, asphalt instead of grass, in the terrain leveling tools.
You can refuel your tankers with water or fuel in a similar way (fuel requires a special tanker, you can't use the same tanker you're using for water). That way you'll be able to access them in your selected place.
To refill the seeders with piles of raw materials, you need to load them using a shovel connected to the front loader of the tractor or other loader.
The one exception to this rule is lime which you can refill at special stations marked on the map, by driving your machine onto a marker and pressing the refilling button. Lime is also available at shops in bags.
In the settings you can choose whether your workers should use the refilled machines or should they purchase the necessary materials on their own. This increases the cost of using the machines but you'll no longer need to refill them, unless you want to work with them by yourself. In the selected options you can choose which materials you want to be refilled, including fuel and solid fertilizer (even if you don't have any stored).
In the Build Mode, you will find a bookmark called Tanks. Here you can buy tanks - they serve as a remote point of purchase of specific goods like solid or liquid fertilizer, fuel, water, and a Karma 16 container where you buy grain and total mixed ration (for cows). After purchase, go to the tank and buy the selected amount of raw material. Then refill the machine straight from it.
Remember that the tanks of vehicles can be emptied at any time. This can be useful when you want to, for example, use a cultivator, not for sowing (don't let your employee do this either), but to transport pallets - the configuration into which the tanks unload their content - or to change the type of chemical used (e.g. liquid fertilizer or herbicide).
