Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Bomb - which time limit to choose?

In the first chapter of Final Fantasy VII Remake, you must complete a mission - The Destruction of Mako Reactor 1. At some point, you will have to make a choice and you will have to decide which bomb timer you want to choose.

Which bomb timer to choose?

You can set the bomb timer to 20 or 30 minutes. This choice has no significant effect on the plot.

If you want to feel safe, choose the 30 minutes option. This variant will give you plenty of time.

What do I do after planting the bomb?

After planting the bomb, you will have to fight the first boss of FF7 Remake - Scorpion Sentinel. Remember, however, that the bomb isn't activated yet. You can easily test the characters skills and get used to the combat system.

The bomb will only be activated after the fight is over, and your only objective now is to escape. If you aren't too interested in exploring the crumbling building, it should take you no more than five minutes to escape.

Does the timer choice affect the plot?

No. It is a purely cosmetic choice. It doesn't affect the game's plot or your relationship with companions.
