11-11: Memories Retold is the second game developed by the French studio DigixArt, whose earlier work is Lost in Harmony: Kaito's Adventure. The adventure described here was created in cooperation with the famous company Aardman Studios, specializing in stop motion animation - its portfolio includes such films as Escape Chickens or Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Rabbit.
The action of 11-11: Memories Retold takes place during the First World War. The production tells the story of two men who decided to go to the front on November 11, 1916. However, they have different goals - while Harry, a young Canadian photographer, intends to impress his beloved, German technician Kurt wants to find his son lost in action at all costs. During the game, their fates are interwoven with each other and shaped by the decisions made by the players.
In 11-11: Memories Retold the action was shown from the third person perspective (TPP). During the game we mainly explore the location and conduct conversations with neutral characters. Besides, from time to time we solve uncomplicated environmental riddles and interact with elements of the environment. All of this is complemented by simple arcade sections.
Characteristic feature of the game 11-11: Memories Retold is the original style of three-dimensional graphics, making it similar to a painting. It is worth noting that the main characters were lent their voices by famous actors, i.e. Elijah Wood, who plays Harry, and Sebastian Koch, who plays Kurt. Olivier Deriviere, author of soundtracks for such games as Vampyr and Remember Me, is responsible for the soundtrack.
