The second attempt at refreshing 1996 title Exile III: Ruined World (after 2002 Avernum 3). Avernum 3: Ruined World takes the player to a fantasy world which is currently at the brink of a disaster. The player controls a group of daredevils that manage to escape the underground prison after a long fight against the forces of an evil Empire. Having reached the surface, the characters discover that their world has been invaded by monsters.

The original version had its debut in Japan in 1999, and was released for Game Boy Color. More than fifteen years later, the game returns, coming out for Nintendo 3DS. Pokemon Silver is set in a fictional world inhabited by the titular creatures. The player takes on the role of a beginner Pokemon trainer.

.hack//G.U. Last Recode is a collection of three Japanese RPGs initially released on PlayStation 2 between 2006-2007: hack//G.U. vol. 1//Rebirth, .hack//G.U. Vol.2//Reminisce, and .hack//G.U. Vol.3//Redemption. All three have been developed by CyberConnect2, also responsible for working on the remastered editions. These MMORPGs allow the player to visit a virtual world, in which they has to complete consecutive tasks and fight enemies in real time with a team of over a dozen warriors.
