This flame is the only weapon of the protagonist during the long and dangerous journey to find the far away light. The gameplay mechanics of Candleman are based on principles of three-dimensional platform games.

The whole was maintained in a characteristic, surrealist style, inspired by the work of Julius Verne.

Hiveswap is an adventure game based on the popular webcomic Homestuck. It was financed though a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, gathering almost 2.5 million dollars. Initially, the game was to be developed by two studios: What Pumpkin, founded by Andrew Hussie, the creator of the original comic, and Odd Gentlemen. The latter, however, abandoned the production to work on the episodic reboot of the King's Quest series together with Activision. Hussie calls Hiveswap an adventure game parody.

After several years, the title received a remake entitled White Day: A Labyrinth Named School, and just before its debut on PC and PlayStation 4, White Day 2: Swan Song was revealed. The game is not a direct continuation, but a prequel, the action of which takes place six years before the events shown in the original. Players learn the fate of students trapped in a haunted school at night.

Along with his companions, Robert has to stop the wrongdoer, through finding the titular, Last Wind Monk.
