The game allows us to take part in a crazy TV game show where weird, square creatures compete against each other in various games for fame, money, and freedom. Their rules are rather simple. We will have to, for example, avoid lasers, spiked barrels, climb up on platforms in order to avoid lava, or fight against each other on a small arena.

In LocoRoco 2 Remastered, the player assumes the role of a merry yellow ball, which travels through the colorful locations and feeds on fruit to increase its size.

The Japanese developer did not decide to improve the audiovisuals or implement extended graphical settings.

The player is given an opportunity to assume control of a team comprised of different characters fighting to the rhythm of music.

A basic match sees us throw and deflect white balls – to win, one of the players has to place all of his balls on the opponent’s side or hit the opponent enough times to drain their health bar. The matches are diversified by various modifiers, such as bombs or obstacles that appear on the play field.

The studio created ten gameplay modes. In one of them the player must collect rocks and deliver them to special devices. In another the player must transport rockets to cannons that shoot at a boss. In general the gameplay focuses on fighting other players. The game supports local and online multiplayer for up to four players.

Our goal on each level is to activate a portal through which we get further. The task is not easy, because all locations are generated randomly.
