Controlled characters collect items and use them in puzzles in order to push the story further. Adventure games usually offer only single player mode and the point-and-click interface. Asylum’s plot has been inspired by such works as H.P. Lovecraft’s prose and Hammer Film Productions’ movies.

In Yomawari: Night Alone you play as a little girl, who embarks on a search for her missing sister and dog, on her own, after dark. It quickly turns out that the town streets are full of wraiths, from which the girl has to hide. To survive, you have to sneak past the ghosts, divert their attention, and try to outsmart them.
