Controlled characters collect items and use them in puzzles in order to push the story further. Adventure games usually offer only single player mode and the point-and-click interface. The action begins on the eve of the putsch, as a result of which the animals were banished from the farmer's farm and took over power in it - playing one of them, players gradually discover that what was supposed to be a real paradise for animals on Earth, quickly turns out to be a prison.

Hiveswap is an adventure game based on the popular webcomic Homestuck. It was financed though a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, gathering almost 2.5 million dollars. Initially, the game was to be developed by two studios: What Pumpkin, founded by Andrew Hussie, the creator of the original comic, and Odd Gentlemen. The latter, however, abandoned the production to work on the episodic reboot of the King's Quest series together with Activision. Hussie calls Hiveswap an adventure game parody.

During the game we find ourselves on the board of this type of machine and take part in military operations, performing various missions. Das Boot: The VR Game is, as the name suggests, a game designed for virtual reality goggles.
