Unfortunately, enemy factions want to use her powers to conquer the magical society. There are no arcade sequences in the game, which focuses on the plot, shown via text with occasional pictures, and on conversing and making decisions, which affect the story. To succeed, you need to achieve balance between your desire for power and the risk of the so-called Paradox.

A brutal hack'n'slash game filled with action and created by Sobaka Studio - a Russian developer. The protagonist is called Vasily, a well-built monk with a series of dark events lurking in his past. As a mercenary working for a ruthless military-industrial corporation, Vasily used to commit the worst kind of crimes - he murdered, tortured, and extorted from people. Betrayed by his employers, he managed to elude his former co-workers, and hid himself in a mountain monastery, where later on, he entered the path of spiritual transformation. His past caught up with the protagonist however - when the corporation's spies have finally found Vasily, troops were sent to the monastery to perform an assault. Now, the protagonist must face the forces of the corporation, as he sees his final chance for redemption in destroying the evil organization. Redeemer offers a wide array of means for dealing with the opposition. Apart from basic firearms, such as shotguns or automatic rifles, one can use melee weapons, bare-hand fighting techniques, attacks from behind (instant kill), and various environmental objects.

Tower of Time is an RPG set in a fantasy realm that stands on the brink of destruction. The player assumes the role of a warrior, who, along with a party, decides to explore a mysterious tower that may hold a key to stopping the apocalypse. Gameplay mechanics in Tower of Time mostly rely on exploration of the game world, completing missions, fighting foes, and developing your heroes. Characters represent different classes and have a variety of attacks and special skills at their disposal. Besides, many of them can have impact on their environment. Combat is observed from top-down perspective and played in real time, but it’s possible to briefly slow down time so that you can give orders to your heroes. Throughout the campaign you traverse the 13 floors of the tower, which amounts to 20-30 hours of gameplay. In between missions, you regularly visit a local town in order to regain strength and replenish supplies and equipment. Some buildings in the town can be upgraded, which unlocks new gear and abilities.

An action platform game with logical puzzles. It was developed by British studio Sumo Digital. The title is based on a prototype created by Seba Liese during a Game Jam. Snake pass tells a story about the adventures of a snake and his friend, a hummingbird. Together they must find keys to the magical gates that provide magical power to the Harmony Foothills. They are doing it in order to defeat a mysterious intruder who threatens the lives of the inhabitants of the realm. The game takes place in a three-dimensional environment and the player takes control of the aforementioned snake. The protagonist’s movement was recreated in a pretty realistic way. It means that, for example, he cannot jump, but instead he crawls along the ground, wraps around objects and swims. All of these actions must be used in order to defeat various obstacles and to find well hidden collectibles. In some situations the friendly hummingbird helps the snake by catching him by his tail and transporting to seemingly unavailable places.

A simple arcade game by King. Unlike its predecessors, the game can be played not only in browser, but also on Facebook and mobile devices. The story once again focuses on Stella the witch, whose task is to defend a magical world from the evil cat called Wilbur. The antagonist kidnaps the Fairy Queen and imprisons good ghosts and friendly owls. The gameplay in Bubble Witch 3 Saga still focuses on shooting colorful bubbles at the ones hanging in the upper part of the board. You have to match bubbles of the same color together — by matching at least three of them, you gain points and bonuses. In the story campaign, your task is to defeat the magical barrier created by Wilbur. Other game modes include the multiplayer mode and the collecting mode, in which you play until you clear the whole board. There is also an option to expand the witch's house, full of various gadgets. The game features pleasant cartoonish 2D visuals.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana is the eighth installment of the fantasy action RPG series from Nihon Falcom. The game takes place in the same Greek mythology-inspired fantasy world as the series' previous installments. Once again we play as the warrior called Adol Christin who, after the ship he was traveling went under, ends up with the rest of the crew on the cursed island Seiren. Our hero's dreams about the mysterious girl named Dana turn out to be the key to solving the mystery of the island. As per the series' tradition, we will spend most of our time on fighting with various enemies. The game features an arcade combat system. We are accompanied by many characters with different abilities in our adventures and we can switch between them anytime we want to. Every once in a while we will also play as the titular Dana. Her parts of the game are more riddle-oriented.

The players can choose from a multitude of characters, including dinosaurs, robots, ninjas, mages, or melee fighters. During the game, the players explore the map and clear the subsequent regions from monsters and occasional bosses. The encounters are turn-based, and take place on a map divided into hexagonal fields. Our heroes often employ elemental spells, which include powerful tsunamis, earthquakes, or great fires. The game is definitely characteristic for its huge roster of heroes – we can choose from a few hundred characters, each armed with unique abilities and an exclusive skill tree. Moreover, the player can expand the tower that serves as the heroes’ dwelling in order to gain additional bonuses.

Those who survived by hiding in the underground hideouts join their forces and call all the tank legions - from Leman Russ to Baneblade - for help. Gameplay in The Horus Heresy: Battle of Tallarn is based on the classic rules of turn-based strategies. Key to victory lies in thought-out placement of our units and in taking advantage of their assets. The game consists of three campaigns (Apocalypse, Resurrection, Revenge). Each of them offers six missions. Battle of Tallarn also offers a tutorial for players not acquainted with the genre. The Horus Heresy: Battle of Tallarn features rather simple visuals, but the 66 available units where designed with high attention to detail.

In terms of gameplay, Panzer Corps 2 is, like its predecessor, a homage to classic strategy games. We take part in various scenarios where we control different military units from the Second World War era, each of them having their parameters described meticulously. Combat is turn-based. Our tactics and the way we arranged our forces on the battlefield are the key elements that will lead us to victory. The biggest change and novelty implemented in the game is the technology. Panzer Corps 2 uses Unreal Engine 4 which allowed the creation of a highly detailed 3D environment with hundreds of units rendered at the same time.

A complete collection of three games contained in the popular survival horror series Outlast, created by Red Barrels. The collection, entitled Outlast Trinity, includes the first installment, originally released in 2013, together with its official expansion Outlast: Whistleblower as well as its full-fledged sequel Outlast 2 from 2017. The story of the first game (and of the expansion, which, incidentally, is a prequel) is set inside a derelict asylum, which used to be a scene of horrifying medical experiments and dark rituals. In Outlast 2, on the other hand, a search of the protagonist’s wife leads him to a sinister village inhabited by lunatic, aggressive cultists. Both productions offer similar gameplay, putting emphasis on the atmosphere, simple environmental puzzles and stealth mechanics. The common feature off all the games is the night-vision camcorder used for exploration of dark locations.

Freaky Awesome takes the players to an alternative version of our world, where all sorts of monsters live next to humans. As you play, you observe the events from an isometric perspective, while exploring procedurally generated locations set in places like factories, underground tunnels and sewers. An essential element of gameplay is combat with various opponents, including powerful bosses. Gameplay is built around the protagonist’s supernatural ability: walking over the carcass of defeated monsters restores his health, but at the same time it intoxicates him, which can ultimately turn him into a monster. The key to success is to use that mechanics in a balanced way. Besides, when in combat you can also use traps set all over in-game locations. As he continues to make progress the hero develops his abilities; note, however, that death is permanent here. Freaky Awesome lets you play alone or in a four-person co-op.

The campaign of the game consists of chapters focused on various characters and the cutscenes between the fights are similar to visual novels. The gameplay mechanics of Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 don’t differ much from the previous entry, but the game introduces some improvements. The expanded edition offers one returning and one new character: female samurai Baiken and the “business ninja” named Answer. All previously available characters received new techniques and smaller improvements that impact the gameplay balance. The game is available as a separate production and as a paid DLC for the original game.

Paranormal Activity: Lost Souls is a first-person horror adventure game. It was developed by VRWerx and based on the Paranormal Activity horror movies. We play as a person who got stuck in a haunted house, just like the characters in the movies. To survive, we will have to discover the house's secret and find out what creatures want to kill us. Gameplay in Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul is based on the standard formula used in many other horror adventure games. During our adventures, we mostly explore the haunted house and solve simple riddles and puzzles to push the story forward. Fear is an inseparable element of the game. It can be struck into our us in many ways: by the automatically moving objects, by the disturbing sounds coming from many places, or by the classic jump scares. We will have to pay much attention to the battery supply for our flashlight. Without it, we won't be able to see anything. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4, but its visuals are rather mediocre in terms of quality. However, the game's audio deserves to be mentioned, as it builds the suggestive and dreadful atmosphere of Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul.

A hybrid of survival horror and a roguelike game, designed exclusively for Virtual Reality headgear. Developed by Firesprite, The Persistence takes the players to the year 2521, when the interstellar voyages are a part of people’s everyday life. The main protagonist is a member of a spaceship crew, which, as a result of an unsuccessful experiment, has been turned into bloodthirsty mutants. The player is tasked with finding a way to restart the engines, allowing him to escape into safer parts of the Universe. In The Persistence, one observes the action from the first-person perspective. During the game, the player explores consecutive rooms and cabins of an enormous ship (the layout of which is procedurally generated), solves numerous environmental puzzles, and fights the encountered enemies using a diversified arsenal. There is also an option to sneak past the enemies’ backs. The main protagonist is equipped with a special device, allowing him to recover stem cells from the bodies of fallen enemies in order to develop particular traits and abilities. Interestingly enough, the protagonist’s death is permanent, which means that each playthrough features different challenges. The entire experience features high-quality visuals.

We follow the team of explorers led by Elise Starseeker, encountering mighty dinosaurs, wild elementals, carnivorous plants and many other interesting organisms. Add-on introduced 135 new cards, a new keyword (skill) called Adapt, and a new card type (Task), as well as a board with an Un’Goro crater theme and a card back fossil. Developers also implemented another group of minions, consisting of Elementals. It consists not only of magical creatures from this expansion, but also some older cards.

A remastered edition of the 2008 racing game, developed by 2XL Games. In comparison to the original, Baja: Edge of Control HD features a number of changes and upgrades, the most prominent being the improved visuals (the HD edition features a higher resolution, some new textures, more detailed surroundings, and dynamic lighting), facilitations at the initial stages of the game, as well as remodeled controls and interface. The core of the game, however, remains unchanged – in Baja: Edge of Control HD players get to participate in thrilling off-road races while driving one of the dozens of available vehicles: 4x4 cars, cross-country vehicles, racing trucks, and many more. What is worth mentioning, the vehicles have not only been modified in terms of their performance and appearance but also can now be damaged. The vehicle handling model now promises a more simulation-focused approach than the arcade-based model from the original game. Apart from the single player mode, Baja: Edge of Control HD delivers a multiplayer mode, in which the players can race each other online or on a split screen.

An old school mix of platformer and metroidvania elements, created by independent studio of Long Hat House. Dandara takes us on adventure in a fantasy world where basic laws of physics, such as gravity don’t apply. The titular heroine is awoken to restore the order of old. We observe the world from side view, and the gameplay is similar to other titles from the genre, focusing on exploration, avoiding countless traps and threats, and gathering equipment and special powers that give us access to new locations. Traveling is made more appealing thanks to the unusual movement system; our heroine can launch herself forward on short distances, stick to all surfaces and move in any direction. The mechanics find use in combat as well, as we attack enemies by shooting various projectiles at them.

The more battles you win, the more new abilities you can unlock, allowing you to choose a specialization for your character. You can also develop you chosen hero by collecting more powerful equipment, while the expansive crafting system allows you to create new items. Apart from the PvP mode (1-vs-1 and 3-vs-3 battles), Planet of Heroes also features a single player campaign, which focuses on varied tasks: exploring dungeons, fighting off waves of enemies, defending yourself against your foes' attacks, and classic battles with AI opponents. The game features colorful cartoonish visuals, based on the Pixar animation style.

On The Road is a truck driving simulator developed by the German studio Toxtronyx. The game allows the players to travel across more than 1400 kilometers of highways and around 300 kilometers of trunk roads. Players can also visit a dozen or so cities, like Berlin, Hamburg, Dortmund, or Munich. What is interesting, the terrain is based on satellite data. The day/night cycle and variable weather conditions make the game more diverse. Gameplay focuses on doing the most profitable jobs where we have to deliver the assigned cargo to its destination. Mastering the game's hard, realistic driving model is the key to success. Developers of On The Road formed a kind of partnership with MAN. Thanks to that, all of the vehicles we drive in the game are designed with the highest attention to detail. It can be said about the interior of our truck, all kinds of semitrailers we will use, or even the used technology, like the TipMatic gearbox. Sadly, the game's visuals are not as good as one would want them to be. They are mediocre at most.

A mobile installment in the popular series of action games. The action of the series takes place in Middle Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms Era. Despite the fact that the combat system is purely arcade, the characters have unique weapons and special attacks. The title also includes simple strategy features like army development and promotion of generals. In addition to a story campaign called Conquest Mode, which can be played alone or in cooperation, Dynasty Warriors: Unleashed offers many other modes. Skirmish contains single battles for up to four players; Raid is a multiplayer mode focused on stealing valuable objects; War Supply is a strategy mode in which the player takes control of mines and gathers items; Boss Fight is a modified campaign focused on fighting bosses (alone or with other players). Similarly to the console and PC installments of the series, the title features high quality graphics. However, in this game the action is presented by using isometric perspective.

The gameplay is based on the characteristic solutions of the genre – on two-dimensional boards covered with square fields where various symbols appear at random. The player’s task is to create chains of at least three elements of the same type – the more made at the same time, the bigger the reward. Compared to other games of the genre, Star Wars: Puzzle Droids distinguishes itself with its extensive scenario – we can experience the story told in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, although the plot – contrary to the movie original – is presented from the perspective of the BB-8 droid. Moreover, the title is more varied than typical match-3 productions. While playing, we unlock various missions and fight enemies. Also, we have a number of special powers at our disposal, which let us deal with increasingly difficult challenges. As we progress, we gain access to the droid’s memories which present interesting scenes from its life.

A battle strategy game with card game features. It was developed by French studio Gameloft. It focuses on real-time multiplayer battles between two players. Each player has a general placed in one of the special buildings located on opposite ends of the map. The game ends when one of the players loses their general. To protect him and to eliminate the opponent, the player is using cards from his deck to summon new units. Their march is slowed down by guard towers placed between the bunkers of the generals. The key to victory is to correctly match units to tasks and enemies. Cards that provide special powers and bonuses are important as well. All of it makes creating a versatile deck the main task of the game. Blitz Brigade: Rival Tactics offers nice, cartoonish graphics. Although the game shares its title with a shooter known simply as Blitz Brigade, it has completely different gameplay.

Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition is the remastered version of the classic cRPG game. It was created by Beamdog. Unlike the other remasters from the studio, Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition has no new story elements. Instead, Beamdog focused on the technical aspects. Visuals were improved (on PC we can even play in 4K), just like the user's interface. Game's soundtrack was also remastered. Chris Avellone, designer of the original game, supervised some of the changes introduced by Beamdog. Most of them were tweaks to the game mechanics and fixes of bugs that were left in the original release. In Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition we play as The Nameless One, a mysterious immortal hero who tries to find the truth about his past and the reason behind his immortality. We are accompanied by diversified characters (among them we will find Morte, a floating, talking human skull) in our adventures. Learning the stories of the citizens of this unique world and doing quests are the primary focus points of the game. Combat is present in the game, but it is just a small part of it and in most cases can be avoided. As we progress, we level up and advance our character and party members. It is worth mentioning that even though the game is based on the second edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons The Nameless One's character is based on our deeds in the game, not chosen during the character creation process.

Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is the expanded edition of the 2015 action RPG, Victor Vran. Overkill Edition includes two expansions, Fractured Worlds and Motorhead: Through the Ages, that were released for the original game. Players once again will play as Victor Vran, the monster hunter. Expansions included in this edition offer completely new areas, enemies, and abilities. The first one takes place in a different dimension and offers the players dungeons that change on a daily basis, among other things. The second expansion was created in cooperation with the heavy metal band Motorhead and faces the players with three demons that need to killed. Gameplay mechanics remain the same. The game is still an action RPG presented from an isometric view. Victor Vran: Overkill Edition can be bought on Steam and physically in stores.

A 2D fighting game set in an alternative reality based on how the ancient Japanese imagined afterlife. We can choose from a roster of eight characters, each of them has different appearance, weapons and special abilities. Additionally, they all have their unique stories which we discover during the game. The feature that distinguishes this game, developed by an indie studio called DojoGames, is the lack of a health bar. The gameplay is based on searching for openings in opponent's guard and dealing instant, lethal attacks. We can fake attacks, parry when there is need for that or perform quick dodges. The unique, dark and grim graphics are Slice, Dice & Rice's strong point. Another plus is that we can play in single player mode but we can also face another player, local or online.

CAT Interstellar uses Unreal Engine 4, making its visuals truly eye-pleasing. The game's susceptible to damage environment allows us to modify not only man-made constructions, but also destroy the planet's surface with a special cannon.

In the expansion, the aforementioned countries receive all new and unique National Focus trees allowing the players to lead the country they choose taking one of the available paths. The four new countries also deliver new events and assets, such as leader portraits, 3D vehicle models, soldier dialogues, and pieces of soundtrack. Also arriving in Death or Dishonor are features like Equipment Conversion (making it possible for the players to upgrade their arsenal by using their older units, or utilizing captured enemy units), and the option to license military technology from other countries or license one’s tech to other governments. Also, the diplomatic features of the game have been developed by fascist countries getting new subject levels like Reichskommissariat, which hold the occupied nations in an iron grip.

Matt, the protagonist, is a young student of mathematics, who tries to make some money as a car park guard. He gets charged with stealing Chinese porcelain from an auction house in London. Trying to escape the punishment from the influential owners of the stolen valuables, the protagonist has to prove his innocence by any means necessary. The experience is based on watching story sequences and making various decisions - the player's choices influence the story and determine which of the seven possible endings will appear on the screen. The game is made of about 4 hours of video material in Full-HD quality and its visuals represent the standards of modern-day interactive movies.

Developed by a small independent studio The Young Socrates, Odyssey: The Next Generation Science Game is a logic adventure game with many educational values. In the game, the player follows the story of a girl, who along with her father, who is an archeologist, and the rest of the family were imprisoned by pirates on one of the Caribbean islands. In order to face them, the heroes decided to build obstacles on the island to stop the pirates – these obstacles, however, could not interfere with the rescue mission launched by young scientists. The player assumes the role of a daredevil, who, after hearing a radio transmission broadcasted by Kai, decides to stage a rescue operation for the stranded family. The players observe the action from the first-person perspective, and the gameplay builds on exploration and puzzle solving. During the game, one might not only prove their basic knowledge of physics, mathematics, and astronomy, but also familiarity with over two thousand years of history of these fields of study. The entire experience is enriched with an original hint system that allows the players to learn along with the main protagonist.

An adventure game featuring elements of the so-called walking simulators and developed by the independent studio Act 3 Games. The protagonist - Stanley, is a man whose past is unclear to the player. The plane he had been using to travel with his wife crashed on a frozen island near the coast of Iceland. The two survived the crash, but end up separated. The protagonist's goal is to reach his wife who is trapped in the wreck that is located on top of a mountain. Also, Stanley has to remove any evidence that could reveal their identity or their secrets to a rescue team that is heading towards the crash site. The player explores the snow-covered wild lands and collects notes from Leonore's journal - those contain pieces of information concerning the characters' past. Furthermore, the player often solves environmental puzzles (thas how you overcome obstacles and other difficulties encountered on your path). Survival elements play a crucial part in The Fidelio Incident, as the player has to make sure that Stanley gets warm by a fire or thermal waters regularly - otherwise he can end up freezing to death. The experience is complemented by high-quality visuals.

It is worth mentioning that the story is non-linear, and its ending depends on the decisions made by the player.

However, all titles are thoroughly remastered and thanks to that they offer a smoother animation, better anti-aliasing and a higher resolution.

The Darwin Project, just like other similar games, takes place on a big arena where players fight each other until only one of them is left alive. Each playable character has their own unique abilities, strengths and weaknesses. The environment in which the game takes place can be as hostile (or even more) as other players. The Darwin Project uses the Microsoft's Mixer streaming system which allows the viewers to influence the outcome of the game by, for example, giving their favorite player a shield.

The production is a development of ideas from the previous work of the creators. Once again we get the climate inspired by heavy metal, but this time the authors have abandoned the fantasy reality for the sake of science fiction. Players play as a warrior who explores a star fortress full of monsters orbiting the dying sun.
