After he awakes from the cryogenic sleep, he manages to find a signal that promises to lead him to something that will help him save his life. Without any other options, he decides to follow it. He questions his knowledge and sanity along the way. We will explore various locations, gather items, and solve all kinds of riddles while playing Monolith. A mobile free-to-play strategy game. It is a spin-off of the cult series of economic simulators developed by EA Maxis. Similarly to the full-fledged entries in the series, the player assumes the role of a mayor of a virtual city. Their task is to secure the expansion of the metropolis and the happiness of its inhabitants while also maintaining the budget. During the game the player is raising new buildings, creating power lines and collecting taxes. The gameplay mechanics are slightly different as building each house requires delivering enough materials produced by factories and commercial buildings. Each decision must be taken with the budget and happiness in mind, and each wrong action can have bad consequences to the whole agglomeration. Additionally, the game is a subject to typical limitations of the free-to-play model – each construction and production process requires the player to wait a specific amount of time.

RPG, Crowdfunding, Cyberpunk, FPP, FPS, Immersive Sim, Indie Games, Action RPG, Science Fiction, Singleplayer, Stealth, Shooters.

A continuation to Consortium (2014), developed by Interdimensional Games. This extraordinary mixture of an FPP shooter, an adventure game, and an RPG is set in 2042. The protagonist - agent Bishop Six, gets assigned to a task of rescuing people kept hostage in London's Churchill Tower by Kiril Angelov. The story is non-linear - the player encounters representatives of different factions, and one can build more and less friendly relations with them; during the adventure, the player will even have the opportunity to act against the titular organization who hired them. The non-linear story is followed by diverse gameplay, as the in-game conflicts can be resolved both by force and using diplomatic methods. Exploration is one of the pillars the experience is based on, and this element was improved with special abilities of the protagonist, as he can breathe under water and fall from great heights without taking any damage. Those fond of stealth action will be satisfied with opportunities to use both visual and sound camouflage. All of this is complemented by conversations with NPCs, which can be a source of useful information and clues. Importantly, those who have completed the original game can import their save files here - others can enjoy a summary of the events depicted in the original Consortium.

Some of the sounds require a quick tap, some touching the screen for a longer moment, and some will force us to move the stylus from one side to another. Arcade, Indie Games, Multiplayer, Platformers, PlayStation 4 Camera, Splitscreen, Singleplayer.

An original platform game developed by an independent studio Grandé Games, employing classic gamepads as well as motion controllers. The player assumes the role of the titular Commander Cherry, a famous adventurer and inventor from another dimension. The gameplay focuses on traversing varied levels, jumping between platforms, avoiding traps and gathering items. Simple environmental riddles await us from time to time – in order to continue his journey, our hero has to use advanced gadgets allowing for creation of various objects, which then can be used as platforms. Interestingly enough, we draw various shapes using a motion controller, as well as by striking a certain pose before the camera. Commander Cherry’s Puzzled Journey offers gameplay modes for lone players, as well as duets. The game is characteristic for its decent, cartoon visuals.

A space RTS with rougelike elements. In Distant Star: Revenant Fleet players lead the A'kari race that must rebuild its shattered fleet and regain its military power so they can finally face the ruthless Orthani. The gameplay is a little bit similar to the cult classic series Homeworld but the difference here is that the events are not presented in full 3D but from a top-down perspective. Battles take place in a randomly generated galaxy and, depending on the choices made throughout the game, the players can experience a different story. We can choose from many units that can be created from scratch by equipping them with different weapons, on-board systems and special modules. The game gives players a lot of room for tactics and requires them to be able to adapt to circumstances that can change at any moment, which means that the fleet must be constantly upgraded. With battles comes experience that allows the players to unlock new technologies and prepare their armies for the final confrontation.

Strategy, Fantasy, Internet, MMO, Browser, Browser Strategy, PvE, PvP, Free-to-play.

A browser MMO strategy game from the creators of Tribal Wars. In Elvenar the player joins one of two sides of conflict: humans or elves, and strives to build a prospering metropolis. Each of the two races uses different technologies and offers unique architecture, units, and a bit different gameplay philosophy. For example, elves live in harmony with nature, practice magic and coexist with other fantasy creatures, whereas humans are more of ambitious engineers, who use medieval weapons and technology. The foundation of gameplay is to provide your settlement with wealth and security as well as transform it into a big metropolis. To this end you have to produce food and collect resources, expand buildings, and recruit a strong army that would fight your battles and allow you to explore new territories. In Elvenar you can focus on story-based campaign missions or interact with other players: establish alliances, trade or wage wars with them. Battles are fought in a turn-based system on hexagonal fields. Elvenar stands out from similar games with impressive 3D visuals and high-quality graphics.

Eitr is an action-RPG based on the Norse mythology. It's the first game developed by the British studio Eneme Entertainment. Game's plot focuses on Yggdrasil, the world tree, that connects all of the nine worlds. When it was infected with a poisonous substance, the plague began to spread all over the nine realms. We play as a redheaded female warrior bestowed with powerful abilities by Loki, the trickster god. With those powers, she will try to stop the incoming darkness. We will spend most of our time exploring the game's world, gathering treasures, leveling up our hero, and eliminating hordes of enemies. Combat system in Eitr is much more complex than in other hack'n'slash games. In order to be victorious in battle, we have to perfectly time our attacks, blocks, and dodges. We will also have to pay attention to our hero's positioning and use her abilities wisely.

A retro-styled action-adventure game featuring RPG elements, created in cooperation by Fourattic and Devolver Digital. The story is set in California, in the year 1986, where a bunch of kids playing in the forest discover a mysterious artifact which allows them to bend the laws of physics and travel across the border between life and death. The unsuspecting characters are thrown into the midst of a government conspiracy led by a ruthless general who wishes to acquire the artifact for his evil purposes. The player observes the levels from above. The gameplay consists mainly of exploration, combat, treasure hunting, and puzzle solving. In the game, the player will have the opportunity to take control of five characters in total - each has their own different skills. The biggest feature of the story comes with the time travels, during which the player encounters hundreds of characters from different historical periods. The game is enriched with cutscenes that bear a resemblance to cartoons from the 80s.

Adventure, 2D, Crowdfunding, Detective, Fantasy, Point-and-click, Singleplayer.

A classical point ‘n’ click adventure game developed by the independent developer Okam Studio. The title is based on the themes of The Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizza Boy comic book, although it tells a completely new story. Its action takes place in an alternative version of Lisbon which is inhabited not only by humans but also by other various, supernatural creatures. The latter have to abide by a special code. Failure to do so alarms special investigators who specialize in such cases. In The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça & Pizza Boy, we assume the role of Joao Vincente Mendonça (a werewolf detective) and Eurico (a pizza guy, Mendonça’s trainee). Our task is to solve a number of seemingly unconnected cases that with time can be pieced together into a coherent whole which reveals a significantly thicker scheme. The fun is based on exploration of the environment, collecting useful equipment, having conversations with non-player characters, and solving various puzzles. The title is characterized by polished graphics made with the use of the cel-shading technique.
