A spin-off to Killing Floor, an FPS series developed by Tripwire Interactive. The game was made for Oculus Rift and Oculus Touch controllers. In Killing Floor: Incursion we play as a soldier of an elite unit, Horzine Security Forces, who along with their companions must face Zeds, a type of zombie known by fans of the series. The game is an FPS with very arcade gameplay. Our goal is to eliminate everything that moves and doesn't look like a human. To accomplish this task we use various weapons (including knives, pistols, etc.) which can be found while we are exploring the locations that contain secrets about Zeds' origin. The graphics are slightly worse than in Killing Floor 2, however, when compared to other VR games, they still look good.

A mobile speedway racing simulator created by Berobasket - a Polish developer. The game is a free-to-play title, though it also employs optional microtransactions. Speedway Challenge offers 32 different tracks and 78 speedway teams referencing Polish, Danish, English and Swedish leagues (the game does not actually feature official licenses). Also, both national and historical teams were included, thus the game offers about 550 contestants in total, providing a wide array of available skills. Subsequent tracks and teams are unlocked in exchange for points earned as the player progresses in the game. The creators have prepared different single and multiplayer (bluetooth) game modes. In the Match mode, two teams compete against one another. In the Tournament mode, the player participates in one of nine competitions taking place in different countries; also, world competitions are available in this mode. The League mode requires the player to pay a fee. Speedway Challenge delivers simplistic, old-school 2D visuals and is played from a top-down view. The gameplay is accompanied by an unsophisticated soundtrack combined with engine sounds. Importantly however, the game offers relatively realistic driving physics.

A sequel to a humorous real-time strategy, Mushroom Wars, that came out in 2009 for PC and mobile platforms. The action of Mushroom Wars 2 takes us to a fantasy universe where four factions of small creatures that live in mushroom-like homes constantly war with each other. The player’s task, as the general of a “mushroom” army, is to eliminate the enemy as quickly as possible by taking over strategic points on the map. There are four different races to choose from, all supported by heroes with unique special abilities. As befits a real-time strategy game, we have to build a village, recruit an army, enhance our weapons, and take over enemy buildings. Battles are very fast-paced and usually last no longer than 5-10 minutes. The title offers four single player campaigns, a skirmish mode, and a multiplayer mode that supports e-sport features. Mushroom Wars 2 features graphics that are similar, although more detailed, to its predecessors.

A mobile reboot of the cult-classic series of racing games, created by Codemasters Software. In comparison to the original, which was popular in the 90s, the backbone of the gameplay hasn’t changed much. The action is once again presented from a top-down view, with the competition between small, remote-controlled vehicles being the mainstay of the game. The races take place on specially prepared tracks, located in such places as desks, kitchen sinks, or a billiards table. The player has to watch out not only for the enemies, but also for various obstacles like cutlery lying around the track, or even spilled glue. The key to success lies in using power-ups and tuning the vehicles – the number of the latter has increased to over sixty, including very fast, exotic cars, hot rods and muscle cars that are popular among tuners, or even atypical choices for a racing game in form of police cars and hovercrafts. The power-ups available in Micro Machines not only increase the vehicles’ performance, but also their battle potential – during the gameplay, we can use shields, flamethrowers, as well as hard-hitting blasters. Aside from gameplay modes present in the previous installments, a new mode has been introduced – Arena – that forces us to eliminate other competitors. Our results can be stored on an online scoreboard.

Crusader Kings: Chronicles is a spin-off of a famous PC series of strategic games by Paradox, rendered as a mobile gamebook with RPG elements. The plot of Crusader Kings: Chronicles, created by an author of historical novels and fantasy, M. Harold Page, takes us into medieval times, right into the middle of the conflict between Scots and English. The protagonist is a young noble by the name of Guy de Rose, who inherits a great castle after his deceased father, and has to establish a firm grip over his domain, earn the respect of local population, and thwart the plans of an enemy, who wants to take over his inheritance. The mechanics do not venture far off the standards of the genre, and the gameplay boils down to following the plot (which is non-linear to a considerable degree) and influencing the events by choosing one of the available courses of action. A lot of emphasis has been placed on creating and maintaining relations with other characters. The game is seasoned by some RPG elements that allow the development the hero's statistics.

An unusual space simulator created by Flat Earth Games. The action of the game takes place in a distant future, in which humanity has colonized many planetary systems. During the game, a player assumes the role of a space merchant, who travels through dangerous regions of the galaxy supplying various goods to whoever pays most. The player’s objective is to earn a lot of money - since his vessel is designed for moving merchandise, a direct confrontation with an opponent will end tragically. This is also why the game does not deliver spectacular battle sequences, and the key aspect of the gameplay is to use the stealthy approach and avoid confrontation with large groups of enemies. In order to succeed, one has to properly manage their energy and resources and make a number of difficult decisions. The players, more than once, have to decide which systems of the vessel are to remain active, and which should be shut down.

The seventh large expansion to Europa Universalis IV, a strategy game released in 2013 by the Paradox studio. As the title suggests, one of the expansion's main novelties is the presence of a new ethnic group – the Cossacks, who played an important role in the base game as well as in the history of several Eastern European nations. Overall, Europa Universalis IV: The Cossacks introduces a much greater range of changes, including modifications to the game mechanics that influence almost every faction. At the forefront are the province mechanics, offering the option to transfer control over provinces to our subordinates, bringing both many benefits and many problems – if they gain too much power, it can result in an attempt to dethrone the player. In addition, the developers introduced some changes to espionage (ability to study the technology of more advanced countries) and diplomacy, e.g. it is now possible to show our attitude towards neighbors or to conduct our activities in the colonies while taking the native people into account.

A refreshed edition of the classic System Shock (1994). The original game gained recognition thanks to the unique combination of employed gameplay mechanics - a mixture of an FPP shooter with both RPG and adventure elements. Both the mechanics and plot remain unchanged in the enhanced edition - the player assumes the role of a hacker who faces a dangerous AI inside a military research complex belonging to the TriOptimum corporation. The game is different to the original release mainly in terms of technicalities, offering higher screen resolution settings (in the widescreen mode as well). Apart from that, the devs from Night Dive (who created this edition) implemented an option to look around with mouse, which was not present in the original release. Also, three independent control schemes were added. Many technical issues that were considered the original System Shock's main flaw were solved in the new release.

The gameplay of Laserlife is based on exploring levels and obtaining fragments of the astronaut’s memories with two independent lasers. Everything harmonizes with the rhythm of the game’s soundtrack. Having collected all elements of the unusual puzzle, the player can learn the past of the protagonist. Despite the title offering only single player mode, online leaderboards introduce a substitute of competition. The production is characterized by futuristic graphics which perfectly fits the abstract atmosphere of the story.

Compared to the full-fledged installments in the franchise, Football Manager Mobile 2016 offers somewhat simplified gameplay, although it has many more features than Football Manager Touch 2016, also for mobile devices, which was released simultaneously. The trade-off is that the database is limited to the 14 most important world leagues. The gameplay itself does not deviate from the standard solutions of the series – in the game, we have to select a proper squad for each match, decide on player transfers, set training plans, as well as take care of the club’s budget and our employees’ and supporters’ satisfaction. Compared to its predecessors, the production was enriched with a number of novelties and enhancements, particularly an improved interface, new tactical instructions, and an extensive training module.

The third part of the strategy game series launched in 2010, which recreates key military operations of World War II. This time, the developers from VR Designs studio concentrated on the titular Operation Barbarossa, the German offensive against the Soviet Union, described as one of the most important military operations carried out by the Axis, whose failure greatly contributed towards the final defeat of the 3rd Reich in the war. The general gameplay premises remain unchanged; Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa remains a turn-based strategy game that realistically recreates many aspects of skirmishes as well as the strategic activities accompanying them. As far as novelties go, a dynamic, semi-automatic decision system is the most important one, allowing you to leave the minor decisions in the hands of AI, and a new army management system, which features some RPG inspired solutions.
