A two-dimensional arcade game from Lucky Kat, in which we pilot a flying machine made of a cardboard box. The game takes place in a fantastic worlds whose inhabitants travel with technologically advanced vehicles. That doesn’t apply to our hero though, as he starts his journey in a cardboard box with rocket engines attached to it and has to collect and install further enhancements for his machine. To achieve this, the protagonist has to explore locations while avoiding traps, fighting enemies, and collecting gold coins scattered throughout the game’s world. Gameplay is very simplified and comes down to tapping either left or right side of the screen, activating one of two engines of our flying vehicle. The game features a pleasant pixel-art visual style, and large number of highly diversified locations.

A futuristic racing game developed by Caged Element and a spiritual successor to the once-popular Rollcage series. GRIP takes us to an unspecified period in the future and focuses on brutal racing tournaments of well-armored vehicles; the tradition stems from illegal city racing that was popular in early 21st century. As the sport grew more and more popular the number of modifications in racing cars constantly increased, which translated into significantly better performance for the price of taking incredible risks. In the wake of numerous unsuccessful attempts to eradicate the brutal sport, the authorities eventually admitted their defeat and accepted it as an official sports discipline along with its TV broadcasts. The rules are incredibly simple: the players’ task is to reach the finish line as quickly as possible and preferably in one piece. What differentiates GRIP from traditional racing games is the unique construction of the cars that allows them to drive on nearly all surfaces, including ceilings.

Independent RPG, in which you assume the role of an Artificial Intelligence. The player’s job is to help the humanity in exploration of space. To do this, the protagonist is sent onto a space station, called The Ark, which is the base of operations. This is where you hire and train new astronauts, equip your spacecraft with necessary instrumentation and design its interior, as well as conduct research in order to improve the technology at hand. Next, you set off on a mission, the success of which depends on the actions you took on The Ark. The world in The Sentient is randomly generated, so nothing is ever 100% sure. Doing missions grants experience and knowledge, which translates to new possibilities. Due to permadeath feature, when your crew members die they are gone forever, so you should be careful not to lose an experienced employee. On the other hand, the bigger risk you take, the better reward you can get. The Sentient features 2D pixel-art graphics styled after 8- and 16-bit console games.

A mobile action game which combines pinball and painting in an rather interesting way. This unorthodox idea was created in the London-based studio State of Play. Similarly as in case of a typical pinball, in Inks the player bounces a ball by using flippers placed at the bottom of the screen. However, instead of an impressive pinball table, in this game the screen shows only a simple background with lightly drawn contour. The screen, which at first is gray, quickly gains new colors as each hit at the specially marked edges of the table makes colorful paints spill. Interesting, unique effects that can be considered similar to modern art, are obtained thanks to the splashes and streaks painted by the physical engine and the rolling ball. In addition to nice aesthetics of one’s creations, the player also receives points as a reward – the more accurately he hits various tunnels, ramps etc, the more points he gains.

The production does not alter the gameplay mechanics in any way, still offering a combination of a classical RTS and an RPG. Therefore, the game focuses on gathering resources, base development, training units, and commanding them into subsequent battles. What differentiates the game from the original Warcraft III are the clearly prettier graphics created from scratch while remaining true to the source. A representative of the hack ’n’ slash genre, created by Dreamatrix Game Studios. The title is a follow-up to the 2013 Legends of Dawn. The players once again find themselves in Narr – a land inspired by Slavonic mythology. The plot of the game, which is not directly connected to its predecessor, focuses on a mysterious danger approaching from the dark swamps – the place has been releasing terrifying creatures, up to this point known only from myths and legends. Heroes from neighboring countries decided to put an end to the danger, lured by a promise of money from the local authorities. The gameplay in Wave of Darkness doesn’t try to be innovative, unfolding in the same vein as that of other known titles of the genre. Its mainstay is the exploration of the open world and combat with hordes of enemies. Aside from the main plot, we can also embark on the path of various side quests. The key to success is attained not only through collecting new pieces of equipment, but also by developing our hero. What’s important, we won’t find a rigorous class system, as we are free to choose any ability from the list of 35 different traits. Additionally, the game contains a system of crafting and upgrading current equipment, as well as the ability to create new spells. Sacrifices made to the gods allow our hero to receive temporary bonuses to individual abilities. The action is presented from an isometric view, with the finely-crafted locations being a definite highlight – the list includes catacombs, medieval castles, cemeteries, but also original ones such as flying islands.

A steampunk-influenced 2D arcade game by iFun4All, a subsidiary of the Polish Bloober Team. The action of Red Game Without a Great Name takes place in a future in which outdated communication methods, such as traditional mail, are still in use. Considering the trouble ordinary messengers would have to go through to reach certain places, some parcels are delivered by dedicted mechanical birds. The players assume the role of one of them, and their task is to traverse various, rather hostile, locations with the goal of safely delivering parcels and collecting gears that are scattered around the levels. The bird we control is not entirely defenseless, though, and has the ability to teleport and to use various power-ups, allowing him to come out alive from dire situations and deal with encountered obstacles in numerous ways.

A unique online game developed by M28 studio. We start as a single cell and must devour other cells or granules lying on the map to grow bigger. However, with increased size comes decreased speed, and we lose mass when we are idle. This means we must remain mobile and look for food, but also avoid contact with viruses the can be bound on map. The game gets even more complicated with the option of splitting a cell into two (up to sixteen) to increase the speed. The problem is that our unified avatar has to be 10% bigger than its prey, and after splitting each part must have 30% mass more than the cells it wants to eat. All of this is presented with very simple, if not minimalistic, visuals

The compilation was created by Bandai Namco, the developers of all the installments in the series. The saga is very popular not only in Japan. Two of the aforementioned productions are famous mostly thanks to their plot that makes them one of the best-scored installments in the series. Tales of Graces F was initially released in 2010 and was an expanded port of Tales of Graces that debuted year earlier on Nintendo Wii. This title is characterized by its complex and interesting combat system that utilizes the best solutions from all previous entries in the series. In comparison to the original titles, the new games have higher quality graphics.

Strategy, Gangster, Singleplayer, Turn-based.
A mobile strategy game based on the free-to-play business model, developed by the creators of the Just Cause series. Rumble City takes place in the United States of 60s and tells the story of a motorcycle gang war over the control of the Los Poderosos city. The player acts as the leader of one of those groups, and their task is to rebuild the gang and eliminate the competition. However, game takes this well-known Hollywood trope with a grain of salt. The first step is to recruit some old friends and new members that will follow the player’s orders. Each thug has his or her own statistics and skills, which can be developed to increase his or her effectiveness in combat. This is the main part of gameplay, along with the focus on using members’ skills correctly. This allows for conquering of new territories in the town, which we observe from isometric view, and the game ends when we have complete control.

A mobile edition of the survival adventure game created by Klei Entertainment. The action of Don’t Starve: Pocket Edition takes place in a randomly generated wilderness, where the protagonist, a scientist named Wilson, was teleported by a deceitful demon. The hero has to use his knowledge and skills to survive in a hostile environment full of wild beasts, and find a way to go back home. The gameplay emphasizes the survival aspects, and the player's main tasks involve building shelter, acquiring food, sustaining fire, as well as producing clothes and useful tools. The game was designed in the characteristic cartoonish style and is full of humor and pop-culture references. The mobile edition is virtually identical to releases on other platforms — the only major difference is the implementation of touch-based controls.
