Always Sometimes Monsters offers many various solutions of a given problem—the player can decide what job to take, how to speak to the encountered non-player characters, or what to sacrifice to achieve the ultimate goal. Decisions we make directly influence the protagonist’s fate and the game’s ending. Always Sometimes Monsters was made with RPG Maker which is the reason why it features very simple two-dimensional graphics and a camera placed at 45 degrees angle.

As we expand it, we research new powerful technologies and battle with more and more powerful adversaries.

Bear simulator, developed by one-man Farjay studio with the support of Kickstarter’s users. We play as the eponymous bear and are tasked with surviving in unfriendly environment. We explore the game’s open world and get food by catching fishes, stealing honey from beehives, and gathering tasty species of plants. We also make use of our strong paws and claws to clear our way and fight with other animals. Resting in our cave will be necessary to replenish our lost energy. There is also a character development system, with our bear protagonist gaining more strength, vitality, luck, intelligence and other skills which will make surviving easier. The game employs first-person perspective, and its visuals – while rather unimposing – offer a variety of landscapes and include a day and night cycle as well as dynamic weather.

To counter the threat, Dawn sent out its champion, the titular Aaru. In Aaru's Awakening we explore the game levels, jump from one platform to another, avoid the ever-present traps and various threats, and, from time to time, we will have to face some more or less dangerous enemies. Aaru's special abilities make those actions more appealing. He can teleport on short distances and charge ahead. The game has high quality, hand-drawn visuals. This aspect of the game was inspired by the animated movies from the 1970's.

As she will learn, the answers are hidden someplace high above the clouds. The gameplay mechanics weren’t greatly changed and the title still belongs to the metroidvania genre, which combines the traits of classic platform games with free exploration of the world and character development system taken from role-playing games. The title introduces three suits equipped with different weapons and passive abilities. The player can choose which one to use.
