The 9th expansion pack for EverQuest - released six years after the base game. Depths of Darkhollow was created by Daybreak Game Company - the team that has developed the franchise from the very beginning. This time, the players are taken to a dark, underground world where a new evil has arisen. Apart from a new storyline and sixty quests, the expansion brings seven additional locations, as well as a set of abilities and spells for one's in-game character. Depths of Darkhollow brings new items as well; interestingly, some of those grow in strength alongside the character's progression and have their own sense of will. Furthermore, the expansion pack offers an ability to transform one's character into a monster and this ability has missions designed specifically for using it. As usual, the expansion introduces an entire set of improvements both in terms of mechanics and audiovisuals.
