When it comes to the plot of the DLC, Commander Shepard helps Aria - the former lord of the Omega station who was forced to flee after Cerberus' took over her domain. The player also encounters Nyreen, Aria's former friend and a Turian mercenary who once served in special forces. Significantly, Shepard is unable to take his team to the station, which is a unique feature of this DLC - the only companions he has here are the two already mentioned biotics with different goals and motivations. Although the Omega station made its appearance in Mass Effect 2, over 80 per cent of the station's area consists of completely new locations designed specifically for the expansion. Here, the player encounters new kinds of enemies and gets some previously unavailable weapons.
