A humorous logic game developed by Dry Cactus, a small studio for which Poly Bridge is the debut title. We assume the role of an engineer building bridges and other constructions that allow various vehicles to cross the river. Poly Bridge is mainly directed towards puzzle enthusiasts and home-grown engineers, as the game gives us a limited budget, a convenient location, and a task to build a bridge that is able to hold the weight of heavy-duty vehicles. Cutting corners during the planning stage will result in a tragedy, with the driver and the passengers increasing the casualty toll. The difficulty level increases as the campaign progresses, and simple constructions made in the initial phase of the game quickly give way to complex structures, streamlined as to stay within the available budget. As a somewhat of a tradition of this genre, the game uses an advanced physics engine and an uncomplicated editor that allows us to create our own levels.

A classic two-dimensional vertical shoot-em-all, taking place in a science-fiction universe. Xenogears was developed by an independent Finnish studio 10tons. The game takes us to 2032, where a conflict called the first galactic war forces humanity to defend its planet using an improvised fleet consisting of civilian space ships armed with various weaponry. As per the genre staples, the gameplay focuses around elimination of approaching hordes of enemies, interrupted from time to time with boss encounters that require more attention and a bit of tactical approach. Procedurally generated levels are definitely an interesting feature of the game – a level may play out different with every new playthrough, with the players unable to learn the enemies’ behavior by heart. Aside from that, the forces of humanity ale always represented by a wing – four fighters with different weaponry, with the player able to switch to a different unit depending on the type of enemy, or invite his friends to take over the remaining fighters in a local co-op mode.

A multiplayer action game featuring elements of stealth, created by SIM720 - a British developer. The game focuses on two teams of players competing against each another - one team consists of agents and the other of rogues. The mechanics were based loosely on the classic hide & seek game. Rouge Operatives is played in rounds, during which the job of the agents is to track and eliminate all the rogues; the latter, on the other hand, have to remain undetected until the end of the round. What is innovative about this game however, is that although the agents are rather typical figures running around with firearms, the rogues were gifted with a unique ability to disguise themselves as different objects of the in-game environment, such as barrels, buckets, packages, shovels, rakes or ladders. This special ability allows the rogues to become one with the environment, which makes it easier to stay hidden. Additionally, both sides can make use of the various power-ups scattered throughout the maps.

We play as a hacker who has to break into well-protected computer systems in order to gather top secret data and sabotage them. The game has two primary aspects of gameplay. Missions themselves are presented in the form of a turn-based tactical game. The virtual reality, around which our avatar moves, and the models of the security software intended to stop us are observed from an isometric point of view. We use various offensive, defensive, and special abilities when facing that software. We spend the time between our missions in front of a virtual desktop. The screen of our device serves as a monitor of our in-game computer with its simple operating system, icons, and useful apps. We use them to contact our clients, start missions, gather useful data, manage our income, and to invest and buy better software and hardware.

During their journey, the characters explore the entire country, gradually becoming true heroes, for instance, through participating in battles and making history. Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers is played from an isometric view and the core of the experience is made up of turn-based encounters with enemies. When fighting, it is crucial to distribute one's warriors appropriately on the map, but applying adequate kinds of attacks and being in possession of sufficiently powerful weapons are equally important. The game offers a large set of weapons - those can be acquired through trade or completing different quests.

Adventure, Interwar Period, 2D, Indie Games, Point-and-click, Singleplayer.

Developed by the one-man studio Machineboy, a classic point-and-click adventure game. Milkmaid of the Milky Way tells the story of a girl named Ruth who lives a dull and poor life on a farm during the 1920s. One day she notices a mysterious, golden spaceship and is forced to embark on a life-changing adventure. The production is inspired by classic adventure games from the 90s, and introduces no revolutionary changes to the genre. Gameplay focuses on going through various locations and searching for items vital to solving numerous puzzles and problems. The title is rather short and simple – it can be finished in, more or less, three hours. Milkmaid of the Milky Way features old-school, pixel-art visuals, and – interestingly - rhymed dialogues.

Arcade, 2D, Indie Games, Platformers, Singleplayer.

Developed by the small studio StarBlade, a classic 2D platformer. Unlike other platformers in which you, most commonly, save the world, Nefarious enables you to take control of a villain who tries to capture the princesses of five kingdoms and defeats hordes of knights and heroes who defend their kingdoms. Gameplay consists of jumping, avoiding obstacles, and of course fighting. However, the main anti-hero is not armed to the teeth. Instead, he can use his fists and a grenade launcher, which shoots different kinds of grenades. Apart from rather simple clashes with regular opponents, there are also more demanding challenges – reverse boss fights during which you assume the role of a boss and control various war machines.

Arcade, Humorous, Internet, Co-op, 60s and 70s, Multiplayer, Splitscreen, Singleplayer, Isometric View.

An arcade sports game developed by Curve Digital in which we assume control of a professional dodgeball duo. We are taken to the 1970s and introduced to Bjorn and Jerome, a dodgeball duo supported by a demanding coach. When it turns out that their rivals have been abducted in the eve of the final match, the heroes, unwilling to accept a walkover, embark on a journey to free their opponents from the hands of the devil himself. When it comes to mechanics, the game offers a streamlined, fun-oriented gameplay instead of an authentic dodgeball experience. Our goal is to defeat the opponents by hitting them with a ball or a different item at least twice. To avoid being hit, we can employ dodges, jumps, or intercept incoming objects. The game is characterized by colorful, cartoonish visuals and a soundtrack influenced by the music of 1970s.

Sports, Internet, Basketball, Multiplayer, For 2 Players, Splitscreen, Singleplayer.

A sports game created for the fans of basketball and released by Electronic Arts. After the three previous installments, which were average games at best, the developer was given more time to create this new follow-up. Thanks to that, NBA Live 18 brings a few interesting novelties. Above all, the game introduces The One mode - the player creates their own character and takes part in matches in The Streets mode and The League component (the latter is the NBA league). The player works on the skills of their character while experiencing the game, acquires new outfits and tattoos. Apart from that, 12 teams from the WNBA league (women's NBA) were featured, such as L.A. Sparks, Minnesota Lynx or New York Liberty. When it comes to gameplay, the creators prepared more intuitive controls, as well as hundreds of new moves the particular basketball players are popular for. The game offers both single player and multiplayer (competitive and co-op) modes. One can experience the Ultimate Team, and the Takedown modes, but also play friendly matches.

During the game, one assumes the role of a heroine known by the name of Novella, who is tasked with completing the work initiated by Bliss - a god of ignorance. To accomplish that, she has to destroy each and every book and kill every writer she encounters, as well as rid people's minds of any complex thoughts. On her quest, she is accompanied by her faithful bird companion - Tatters. Players observe from the top-down perspective how the main protagonist explores the partially destroyed world, searches for the titular quotes, burns multiple books, and fights the encountered foes using spectacular combos. RPG, Dungeon Crawler, Fantasy, Indie Games, Roguelike, Singleplayer.

Developed by Taito, a roguelike RPG in the form of a dungeon crawler. The player is taken to Ardéme - a kingdom set in a fantasy world, whose inhabitants used to enjoy an existence of happiness and well-being, ensured by Holy Water enchanted in a sacred cup. The idyllic period ended when Grand Sorcerer Ambrosius, a ruler's trustee, got bitten by a vampire and decided to flee with the sacred cup. Deprived of divine power, the kingdom soon fell victim to corruption coming out of the muddy labyrinths in dungeons. As a result, the prince invited adventurers from all over the land and presented them with the task of finding the cup. The gameplay formula does not go beyond the standards of other games in the genre, and the experience involves exploring randomly generated dungeons, avoiding traps, and facing more and more powerful enemies. Combat is turn-based and the experience points gathered while adventuring allow the player to develop the characters they control.

A combination of an adventure and a platform game, developed by Big Fish Studios. The player takes control of Milo, who lives in a grim metropolis ruled by the Embark corporation. One day, company’s employees kidnap the protagonist’s dog, forcing the former to set on a dangerous journey – not only to rescue his quadruped friend, but also to find out why Embark steals dogs in the entire town. Fetch shows player’s character from the side perspective, and every puzzle features arcade sequences. Occasionally, the game will also change into an arcade minigame with various objectives: from feeding rainbow snake with fishes, up to battles against pirate ships. Fetch employs good-looking, colorful visuals that resemble Pixar’s movies. Official concept arts and built-in complex guide are nice additions.

A mobile battle strategy developed by HEROZ. The main hero is an aspiring Pokémon trainer who takes part in a tournament on Carmonte Island. The winner will receive the deed to a luxury hotel – the Jewel Tower. As the hero desires to become a hotel industry magnate, the prize is a real treat for him. The mechanics of Pokémon Duel are based on the simplified rules of a collectible miniatures game Pokémon Trading Figure Game, so gameplay comes down to fighting turn-based battles of Pokémon figures. The arenas have a net showing predefined paths between teams of up to six Pokémon. In order to succeed, you need to lead at least one creature to the starting position of the opponent. You can choose from the entire set of sixth generation Pokémon – even though you begin with just a few basic beasts, with progress you get access to more powerful ones. This is a free-to-play production with microtransactions, featuring both single- and multiplayer modes.
