The 13th full-fledged installment of a series of popular railway simulators developed by a German studio Trend Verlaag. Eisenbahn.exe Professional 13 allows us to assume the role of a train driver, traveling through various areas using a chosen train. We can choose from over 4500 models – from classic steam-powered engines, up to modern diesel or electric engines, each containing a faithfully-recreated, three-dimensional cockpit. The game is characterized by its realistic approach: we need to watch out for railway signs and the current conditions around the track. The world is alive, with vehicular, air, and marine transport taking place all around the player, while local fauna can be seen near the tracks. We can also experience a dynamic day-and-night cycle, and changing weather conditions. The extensive editor is definitely one of the highlights of the game, allowing us to build our own trains, as well as whole locations and tracks.

A sequel to the popular multi-genre game, blending elements of logic puzzle, adventure, and strategy games with some roguelike aspects. Like in the first installment, the production was created by Nerial. Reigns 2 is set in a tongue-in-cheek version of the middle ages. The protagonist is a queen, who has just ascended to the throne, and your task is to keep her there for as long as possible. It is not easy, as you have to take care of your kingdom and make difficult decisions by announcing verdicts regarding important matters, developing the economy, and playing diplomatic and political games. The event cards are randomly generated and your choices shape the story. Sooner or later you make one mistake too many, which results in the queen's demise, while you have to play as her successor, who has to face the consequences of her predecessor's choices. The game features clear rules and intuitive controls system, in which you slide the cards to the left or right, thus making a positive or negative decision.

An MMORPG based on hack'n'slash mechanics - Guardians of Ember was developed by Runewaker Entertainment, the creators of Dragon's Prophet and Runes of Magic. The player is taken to a fantasy land which is being torn apart by the chaos of war. The players join the titular brotherhood, which seems to be the last hope the land of Olyndale has. The adventure begins once the player has created their character - one's in-game avatar represents one of the four races available, as well as two specialties chosen from six available in total. As a result, unusual combinations of character classes can be created in this game. The player develops their character gradually thanks to the in-game system, but also gathers and crafts new weapons and armors. The game world consists of 58 different locations and 60 randomly generated dungeons. Exploration combined with fighting the enemies encountered (including powerful bosses) constitutes the pillar of the gameplay. Furthermore, the game brings hundreds of story-based quests and side missions. The players complete the quests together, but they can also compete against one another in PvP battles. Interestingly, the player can be an owner of a house here (a base of operations that can be decorated to one's liking).

We are left with six surfers whose abilities and appearance can be customized thanks to a complex character creation system. The gameplay of Surf World Series tries to balance simulation and arcade-oriented gameplay. The competitions are quite spectacular, with the riding itself requiring a lot of effort. Nevertheless, more experienced players can utilize one of the impressive surfing tricks to improve their scores. The players can compare their results through official online rankings, take part in one of forty five single player challenges, or engage in multiplayer matches for up to fifteen players. A combination of a classic platformer with a dynamic shooter. The game was created by Super Mega Team - an independent developer. The player is taken to Gamearth, a planet which fell victim to space invaders who call themselves Nexgen. Rise is the only hope the inhabitants of Gamearth have - he is an 11-year-old boy equipped with a holy artifact - a pistol known as Shine. The gameplay formula in Rise & Shine was based on jumping across platforms, avoiding traps, solving simple puzzles and fighting enemies. The protagonist's weapon undergoes modifications that change the way the pistol works. As a result, the player can use ammunition enriched with electric charge or remotely controlled bullets. The experience comes with a high difficulty level and the player encounters both "cannon fodder" in large numbers and powerful bosses here. All of this is complemented by high-quality 2D visuals characteristic of their cartoonish art style.

A free-to-play MMO game following the convention set by such titles as World of Tanks and World of Warships. Russian studio Areo Gaming decided to translate this arcade-simulation gameplay model into the world of battles fought by small marine units – fast patrol boats, torpedo boats, and small submarines. The players can unlock over 40 models of ships, armed with a diverse arsenal – starting from machine guns and cannons all the way to rocket launchers and depth charges. The players participate in dynamic team battles, each team having several ships at its command. For each success on the battlefield, one receives experience points, which they can spend on developing the fleet’s equipment and unlocking more and more powerful vessels. The players can also acquire in-game currency that can be spent on new gear. The game is based on a free-to-play model and features an optional microtransactions system - the Premium content offers unique ships, visual upgrades, flags, and components that improve the ships’ statistics.

A tile-matching game distributed in a free-to-play model. Adventure Pop sees us assume control over Penelope – an adventure seeker that has to face a group of airborne pirates in her search for her missing friends. The game takes place on a two-dimensional field filled with colored marbles. Our job is to clear the area by firing projectiles of a matching color. A successful match clears a set of identical marbles, resulting in additional bonuses. The single player mode pits us against opponents who are given the same task, forcing us to clear our field before our enemy manages to do it. Each level is filled with useful power-ups, while rescued friends and some of the defeated opponents join our team, offering additional abilities and special powers.

An arcade sport game from Story Fort studio, offering a truly peculiar version of basketball. Creators of Dunk Lords were inspired by unusual sports games from the previous century, mainly the NBA Jam series. Instead of regular basketball matches, we receive a spectacular and quite brutal game, in which two teams of five players use supernatural powers. We can choose from sixteen diversified players (both humans and strange mutants), each with unique talents. They can also attack opponents, which more often than not turns out to be more important than scoring points. As if that wasn’t enough to heat up the game, playgrounds themselves are filled with obstacles and traps. Dunk Lords offers story campaign in single player and cooperative variants, as well as multiplayer for up to four people.

Adventure, Experimental/artistic, Exploration Games, FPP, Indie Games, Singleplayer.

A remake of Dear Esther, a popular narrative exploration game from 2012 that started a whole new genre – the so-called walking simulators. It was developed by the independent studio The Chinese Room. Contrary to the base version of the game that was powered by the Source engine and released only on personal computers, this edition is powered by the Unity technology. This enabled the developers to release their game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well. The new version introduces completely new sounds, including the developers’ commentary that can be played during the game. In Dear Esther: Landmark Edition the player calmly travels through locations (the action is presented in a first-person perspective) and gradually discovers new pieces of the story. The plot is presented in the form of letters to the titular Esther, which are read by a mysterious male voice. Since the game lacks any interactions with the environment, it caused many discussions about whether it is still a video game or simply an interactive experience.

A simple arcade game by King. Unlike its predecessors, the game can be played not only in browser, but also on Facebook and mobile devices. The story once again focuses on Stella the witch, whose task is to defend a magical world from the evil cat called Wilbur. The antagonist kidnaps the Fairy Queen and imprisons good ghosts and friendly owls. The gameplay in Bubble Witch 3 Saga still focuses on shooting colorful bubbles at the ones hanging in the upper part of the board. You have to match bubbles of the same color together — by matching at least three of them, you gain points and bonuses. In the story campaign, your task is to defeat the magical barrier created by Wilbur. Other game modes include the multiplayer mode and the collecting mode, in which you play until you clear the whole board. There is also an option to expand the witch's house, full of various gadgets. The game features pleasant cartoonish 2D visuals.

Arcade, Fables, Adventure Elements, Metroidvania, Pinball, Platformers, Singleplayer.

An original mixture of a platformer and a metroidvania game, developed by Villa Gorilla - a small Swedish studio. The game is set on Mokunama - an island where the player meets the protagonist - a sympathetic beetle. Working as a postman, he stumbles upon traces of a serious affair, the victim of which is an ancient divine being that had been taking care of the land. The insect's goal is to find a way to wake up the sleeping guardian in order to bring peace and order back to the island. What distinguishes Yoku's Island Express from other games of this kind, is that the developer borrowed elements of pinball. The beetle rolls a ball in front of himself - thanks to that ball, he can bounce off flippers installed in the environment in order to reach places difficult to access. The game is played from a side view and the core of the experience is made up of platforming elements, such as exploring, avoiding traps, eliminating adversaries or collecting valuable items.
