An action RPG with elements of MOBA in a fantasy setting, created for mobile devices by the Dutch My.com company. The story takes us to Hardan, a world engulfed by war between two factions: League and Cohort. Players lead teams of heroes and fight for one of the sides to put an end to the conflict and bring back the peace to this land. The game comes down to exploration and clashing in dynamic duels, which require using the unique skills of over 30 heroes, representing one of four available classes. Game mechanics are quite simple and based on choosing the appropriate members and skillful usage of possessed powers. The game also features an RPG-like character development system and numerous pieces of equipment to collect. The production is designed both for solitary players and those preferring multiplayer.

Instead of sandbox freedom, the game offers a linear plotline and allows us to control two independent characters, who can cooperate to solve puzzles and avoid various traps. The game employs the same visual style as the original Shelter 2, although we observe game’s world from third-person perspective, and many features not present in the original title, like the ability to follow a trail using senses other than sight.

A mobile card game created by Mathew Inman as an adaption of a popular board game of the same name. Exploding Kittens is unlike anything in its genre and has been developed purely with a group of players sitting at a single board in mind. Rules are incredibly simple: during each turn the players randomly select one card, and the one to draw the eponymous volatile furball is out of the game. All other cards are used to avoid the explosive animal or preventing others from achieving the same objective. We can find among them e.g. passing turn, looking at top threes cards of the deck or defusing the kitty and returning it into the deck in way that other players won’t know where it is.

Furthermore, the player gains experience points alongside progression and levels up, which grants access to new buildings and capabilities. Age of Cavemen offers both a solo experience and a multiplayer mode. Apart from the single-player story campaign, the creators implemented a PvP mode - here, the player makes alliances and plunders villages belonging to other leaders. The challenging part is the fact that the batteries in the boots deplete after every jump and it takes time for the energy to replenish itself. The key to success is not only agility, but also skillful management of our boots’ power supply and using them only in the most suitable situations.

Although we are dealing here with a typical logic game, the developers of the title took care to include a well-developed narrative layer, created in cooperation with, among others, the screenwriter and producer of the original series, Patric Verrone, and Dave Grossman, the co-creator of the Monkey Island series and the iconic adventure game Day of the Tentacle.
