An original, retro-styled 2D MMO title that combines the elements of strategy, adventure, and role-playing games, created by the Ankama Games company. In the game we take on the role of a so-called Dwaala, an agent of nature, whose task is to take care of the divine Kwaan tree and to save the world by keeping it in balance. The game was designed as a unique online ecosystem, where the course of events depends on the activity and creativity of the players. While playing, we discover subsequent secrets of the game world, gathering resources, completing quests, and advancing our character. The key element is, however, to take care of the health of the eponymous tree by helping it grow its branches, summoning animals, planting saplings or fighting pollution. If the tree is doing well, our tribe can continue to develop in peace. However, if we do not satisfy its needs, it may lead even to a restart of the server, after which we will have to start from the beginning.

A sandbox racing game featuring MMO elements and created by Black Delta - an Australian developer. The game is an extension of a students' project called KartSim, which was initiated by Zach Griffin - both a former racer and the founder of the studio. In contrast to the majority of purely arcade karting games, KartKraft places a special emphasis on realism, and faithful recreation of the experience of real karting, including such things as effects of high speeds and various physical forces affecting karts during races, was very important for the creators. The game is a sandbox, thus the player can race without limits on different, scrupulously recreated karting tracks from all over the world. The game features an advanced system of managing both the karts owned and licensed equipment used during races. The multiplayer mode is what really livens the game up, for it allows us to compete against other players. KartKraft gives the players an opportunity to group themselves into professional racing teams as well.

A full-fledged continuation of a science-fiction turn-based strategy developed by Mode 7 Games. In its premise, Frozen Synapse 2 doesn’t differ much from what its predecessor offered, and focuses on combat using small units, emphasizing strategic planning. The main distinguishing element of the game (and the whole series) is the fact that the encounters are turn-based, but the players make their moves simultaneously, rather than alternately. This forces a completely different approach from the players, and keeps them on their toes when anticipating the next move of their enemy. In contrast to its predecessor, Frozen Synapse 2 has a much more open world, directly resulting in bigger maps, which has an utmost impact on the strategic layer of the game. The whole game is seen from a good old top-down view, and introduces a similar stern visual style, with a rather cold color palette.

The action takes place in 1986 when a mysterious organization kidnaps the leaders of the world's two main superpowers: Reagan and Gorbachev. With both the world peace and themselves being at risk, the two presidents have to put aside their differences and join forces, for only cooperation will allow them to escape and prevent a nuclear apocalypse. The gameplay mechanics are inspired by classic top-down shooters. The players’(playing either solo or in cooperation mode) task is to break through maps that are full of foes. Since the protagonists are not bulletproof, the key to success is to devise and apply an adequate strategy instead of mindlessly emptying the clips of their weapons. Reagan Gorbachev is supplemented with stealth sequences, and each level is designed in a way that allows the player(s) to complete it both the old-fashioned way and stealthily.

Both goals require extended effort, including resource gathering, constructing buildings, or recruiting military forces and leading them in battle. Interestingly enough, the game’s economy is based on milk, which can be gathered from grazing cows. A free-to-play racing game developed by Craneballs, the creators of Overkill - a shooter series for mobile platforms. The action of Splash Cars is shown from isometric view. At the beginning, we are taken to a small black and white map. We drive a car that restores color by driving over or near a place, and our task is to color as much space as possible. However, it is not all that simple because we are constantly interrupted by police cars chasing after us, trying to ram and immobilize our vehicle or push it into a deadly trap. While driving, we gather points and coins scattered around the map which are then spent on new cars and parts that provide certain bonuses once installed.

A sports game described as a spiritual successor to Sensible Soccer. It was developed by Tower Studios, led by Jon Hare, former creative director of the aforementioned series and the co-founder of the once famous Sensible Software. The gameplay of Sociable Soccer is focused on fast and purely arcade football matches in which the player’s skill is the most important factor, although it is possible to switch footballers, set formation, tactics, and so on. There are over 500 clubs with over 10 thousand footballers, except that their surnames are slightly altered due to the lack of the official FIFA license. Apart from classic single-player quick matches and leagues, the developers put great emphasis on multiplayer and social aspect. Visually, the game cannot compete with the latest football productions but it features the characteristic style and atmosphere of the classic installments of the Sensible Soccer series.

A hilarious game combining elements of a shooter and an endless runner; it was created by Baby Squid - a studio comprising of a single game maker. The player is required to shoot the enemies moving around subsequent maps, which is done by moving one's finger against the touchscreen and tapping the trigger. The enemies, including shooters and ninjas, constantly try to eliminate the player and a single hit can be the reason of one's failure. Thus taking the most dangerous foes out quickly is essential. Explosive barrels and other interactive objects diversify the experience, because hitting them at the right time can result in having several enemies killed at a time. The player's goal is to score as many points as possible. Furthermore, the player obtains coins alongside progression and these can be spent on new weapon sights. Endless Sniper offers pixel-art visuals, referencing old games released for 8-bit consoles. Although the application is available for free, commercials are displayed from time to time.

A racing game developed by Milestone - an experienced Italian team. The game is a successor to the MotoGP series, for this installment was renamed after the developer established cooperation with Valentino Rossi, the famous Italian racer who was awarded the title of the world champion several times throughout his career. Therefore, the game is, once again, an extensive motorcycle racing simulator recreating the current Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. The career of the champion himself is in foreground here, but thanks to licenses the game uses, all the authentic teams, motorcycles, racers, sponsors and tracks of the 2016 season are included in the game as well. The riding physics are even more realistic than usual, and a great variety comes with the opportunity to participate in rally events, an activity for which Rossi himself developed a strong passion.

RPG, 2D, Beat 'em Up, Fantasy, Indie Games, jRPG, Side-scroll, Singleplayer, PlayStation Exclusive.
A side-scrolling jRPG with strong elements of classic beat'em up. Fallen Legion was developed by an American studio YummyYummyTummy. The game came out for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita; the two versions differ mainly in terms of story. Fallen Legion is set in a fantasy world and the player is taken to the Kingdom of Fenumia, which falls from glory due to the king's premature death. His daughter (the protagonist in the PS4 version), tries to cope with the problem and goes on a long and dangerous journey in order to bring peace and safety to her subjects. This is obviously noticed by Legatus Laendur (the protagonist in the PSV version), who's lust for power makes him try to take control of Fenumia in her absence. The core of the experience is constituted by fighting enemies in a real-time combat system. The key to success is to make a good use of the individual abilities of the controlled characters, apart from being able to skillfully combine attacks of the entire team into complex combos; however, having quick reflexes is also needed. Furthermore, the player has to make more and less important decisions many times - those influence the course of the story and what the game world looks like. All of this is complemented by eye-pleasing, hand-painted 2D visuals.
