The story is non-linear and the player’s decisions can impact not only in which direction the plot will go, but how it will end as well. When it comes to mechanics, My Eyes on You is a third-person perspective action game in which the player is exploring mysterious streets and suburbs of a neo-noir Chicago. The game features stealth elements – Jordan must hide from enemies and sneak past them. What’s interesting, the protagonist has various illnesses – in stressful situations his mind can create hallucinations.

A top-down shooter developed by Finnish studio 10tons. The title features time control mechanics. The story presented in Time Recoil starts in 1987, where the main protagonist lands due to a time paradox. During the game she must complete a series of missions in the past. This will enable her to change the timeline, save no-longer living allies, obtain lost documents and eliminate important persons before they become a threat. The final objective is to kill Mr. Time who controls a time-based weapon of mass destruction. The female protagonist can move and aim in all directions. When an enemy is killed, the time slows down. The longer the killing chain, the longer this “bullet time” is active. This mechanics introduce a more puzzle approach to shootouts – the player is trying to combine kills in order to finish their actions before the enemies understand what is going on.

Using all of them is required in order to win – in single player mode by switching between the characters and in cooperation mode by communicating and cooperating with other players. Caveman Warriors features colorful, cartoonish graphics that fit well with the large dose of humor present in the game. The title also features hidden levels and a challenge system.

A new installment of The Idolmaster – a popular series developed by Bandai Namco. Similarly to the previous installments in the series, the game mixes elements seen in managers, visual novels, and rhythm games. The player assumes the role of a producer, whose mission is to lead the careers of thirteen young idols that were sent to a special training camp. The game begins with the choice of a leader, while gameplay itself was divided into several segments. The girls are sent to lessons and auditions, and can take part in concerts or special events after fulfilling all the prerequisites. Moreover, the story chapters enable us to get to know the girls better, which is especially important, as our relations also affect their achievements. We can improve the girls’ individual abilities by engaging in singing lessons that involve performing songs in a manner similar to what we could encounter in other rhythm games. Concerts take place in the exact same way. Aside from voice, the girls can also equip costumes that increase their abilities and presence of which further translates into a bigger number of fans. The game is characteristic for its high quality visuals, with three-dimensional cel-shaded models and fluent animations, as well as an extended soundtrack consisting of thirty features from the previous installments of the series and a number of brand new music tracks.

A surreal adventure game, in which the player assumes the role of a musically gifted traveler. On one of his adventures, his machine breaks down; however, there is still hope. If he manages to pull off a concert, he might attract some new means of transport. The gameplay in Beat The Game revolves around ideas similar to those featured in classic adventure games. The player is tasked with exploring numerous locations and looking for valuable items, which can be used to obtain sounds, as one can e.g. hit an empty beverage can with a stick and get a hi-hat. The sounds can be also obtained from creatures, flying figures, and encountered characters. Upon collecting several sounds, one has to combine them using a mixer. This way, the player pushes the story forward, unlocks consecutive cutscenes and gets access to new locations. Developed by Worm Animation, Beat The Game is not a very long game, as one can complete it in less than an hour.

Yet another installment in a popular mobile FPS series started in 2009 by the French company Gameloft. Unlike the previous installments, which offered quite elaborate story campaigns, Modern Combat Versus focuses mostly on the multiplayer experience. Up to eight players can face each other across diverse maps in one of the several available game modes. Upon entering the battlefield, the player gets to select one of the agents unique in terms of appearance, preferred weapons, and featured combat abilities. The player is also given a wide range of weapons and gadgets such as machine guns, shotguns, grenades, and special energy shields. As one progresses through the game, they earn experience points, enter consecutive leagues, and acquire numerous rewards in the form of the main protagonist’s elements apparel and skins for the weapons they carry.

Street Fighter IV: Champion Edition is another version of Street Fighter IV, a console fighting game that debuted in 2009. New version was developed for mobile devices (iOS and Android). It is the third mobile version of the game – the previous ones were Street Fighter IV from 2010 and Street Fighter IV: Volt from 2011. The new edition features improvements and around thirty playable characters. Graphics were improved as well – the character models have more details and the black lines that were present on the sides of the screen were removed. The title also features online multiplayer that the previous versions lacked. The combat system wasn’t changed too much – it is still one of the more advanced fighting games available on mobile devices. The players are using virtual buttons to tap various attacks that can be combined into simple combos and their more advanced versions – super and ultra.

A hybrid of a visual novel and a tactical role-playing game. The title was developed by studio Leaf and company Aquaplus. The game is a direct sequel to Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception and tells the further story of Haku and his friends who are tasked with assuming control of the military forces of the Yamato Empire and using them to protect the territory from hostile neighbors. Like before, long visual novel sequences are intertwining with very short tactical battles. However, the developers introduced some changes and improvements, thanks to which the players gain more possibilities when it comes to using their forces on the battlefield. There are new types of side missions available as well. The battles once again take place on three-dimensional maps with a grid. All units are moving on the grid fields. Although the battles are turn-based, they feature action sequences. When a character performs an action and the player presses a button at a correct time, various bonuses are activated - including critical hits. Other novelties include cooperation attacks, new skills and new types of weapons. Similarly to the previous entries in the series, Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth features high quality two-dimensional graphics. However, the three-dimensional tactical sequences of the game feature simplified character and environment models. The lack of details is compensated with unique style and animations.

The game follows in the footsteps of the previous games which means that, once again, the players have to manage cricket teams and lead them to victory. The player's responsibility is to find new players, create effective line-ups and tactics as well as find sponsors. Cricket Captain 2017 features 130 teams from eight countries, new 20-over leagues from West India, Pakistan, South Africa and Bangladesh as well as national leagues from West India and Pakistan. Additionally, the developers created scenarios that allow the players to play historical matches and additional statistics, e.g. stadium and international records. Even though the game was developed mainly for single player mode, it also offers the option to face other players online. The last changes that are worth mentioning are better interface and improved 3D engine for matches.

Developed by the Dutch developer Bohemia Interactive in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, Laws of War is a large expansion to the popular military simulator Arma III, published in 2013. The main element of the expansion is the new, however relatively short, story campaign, in which the player assumes the role of Nathan MacDade – a bomb disposal expert working for the International Development & Aid Project (IDAP). His main objective is to disarm mines and unexploded ordnance remaining after the war between two fictional factions. Dade agrees to an interview with an investigative journalist, which forms a story background for the consecutive missions. Along with the new expansion, the players are given an entirely new faction – IDAP, which uses special equipment and numerous gadgets (e.g. a drone). The new faction also has a special vehicle, equipped with gear fitting one’s needs and parameters of the task at hand.

An adventure game set in the universe of the Planet of the Apes movie series. The game is a debut project of the British Imaginati studio, which has been established under Imaginarium Productions. The action of Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier is set between the events shown in the movies titled Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and War for the Planet of the Apes. The player can follow the adventures of the primates, who have separated themselves from the group being in the center of the movies in order to hide in the forests and caves throughout the Rocky Mountains. The harsh conditions and hunger have forced them to abandon their hideout - the only way for the herd to survive is to launch an attack on a small farm inhabited by humans. Gameplay mechanics of Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier draw from the solutions known from the games developed by Telltale Games. During the game, the player does not control the characters directly and does not explore the locations - their role is limited to selecting particular dialog options. These choices determine the story’s direction (some decisions might result in the deaths of certain key characters) and ending. The game delivers high-quality visuals - the developers have based their game on the Unreal Engine 4 technology. The player is bound to appreciate the detailed character models and their rich animations.

A rail shooter game developed by the independent Italian developer Antab Studio. GRIDD: Retroenhanced draws its inspirations from both cyberpunk and hacker culture of the 1980s. The player gets to assume the role of an operator of a battle ship that traverses the virtual reality with a task to bypass a computer defense system and defeat a dangerous Artificial Intelligence. During the game, one gets to sweep through procedurally generated maps and fight numerous enemies. As the vehicle is constantly moving forward, the player's role is limited to maneuvering up and down, dodging enemies, collecting power-ups, and targeting weak spots of particular adversaries. The basic mode in GRIDD: Retroenhanced is the Arcade Mode, in which the difficulty level continuously adjusts to player's skills. The game also features the Endless Mode, in which the player has to face unlimited enemy waves. One's actions are monitored by the scoring system, thus the player can share his achievements via the online ranking boards. The entire experience features original style somewhat resembling the iconic TRON: Legacy movie and is well complemented by a dedicated synth wave soundtrack.

The player assumes the role of a clone of a person, who was supposed to join a colonization expedition. Something went wrong though and the main protagonist ended up crashing on a dangerous alien planet. Now, he has to cope with this situation with only his hands, wits, and all the resources he can gather. The game developed by Above and Beyond is designed primarily for online modes; however, the developer decided to include an offline mode as well, which allows the players to familiarize themselves with the gameplay mechanics. Fragmented offers the opportunity to play on servers featuring various rules – some of them focus on cooperation with other players, while others emphasize rivalry. The players can also create their own variations of the gameplay based on their personal preferences.

A game developed by an indie studio, GUTS Department, that combines elements of metroidvania and tower defense. The game is set in a fantasy world where the only things left by a technologically advanced civilizations are ruins and powerful artifacts. The main characters, a mechanic called Bart and his granddaughter Clu, declare a war on the Empire – in order to end its hegemony they embark on a journey to find a legendary weapon called the Aegis. During this adventure full of dangers they have to not only visit various locations and avoid countless traps but also solve puzzles (which often require their cooperation – we can switch between the characters freely) and fight with enemies. Sometimes, they have to defend places, characters and objects from incoming waves of enemies – your success in those battles depends on using Bart's abilities that allow him to construct useful items, and making a good use of Clu's skills both in combat and placing traps. During the game we get new equipment and upgrade the already owned one. This allows us to reach previously unavailable places and eliminate increasingly bigger and more dangerous enemies. Aegis Defenders can be played alone or with another player. The developers were inspired by the first few installments in The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy series, which is reflected by the game's pixel-art graphics.

In order to achieve this, the player has to make use of experts that help in training the footballers, choose tactics before matches, acquire new players, sell redundant ones, prepare for problems (for instance, one of the key players gets injured), and keep the funding-related issues in mind. In Football Manager 2018, one can lead one of 2500 clubs with their origins in 50 countries. This gives over 600 thousand footballers and assistants.

A real-time strategy game, which takes the players to a universe initially featured in the popular League of War: Mercenaries for mobile devices. Developed by MunkyFun, League of War: VR allows the player to visit a futuristic battleground and gives them twelve types of units. The gameplay revolves around fighting enemy armies, sending one’s units to battle, and taking care of the energy reserves, a role served by a sort of a mineral – the more powerful units one intends to use, to more energy they have to acquire for this purpose. A battle ends when the player destroys the enemy base or the enemy bests the player. As League of War: VR requires a Virtual Reality headgear in order to work, the player can look around a battlefield by moving their head, however, the units are selected and issued orders by the motion controller. Apart from the single player campaign, the game offers a multiplayer mode, in which one can face another player.

Football Manager Mobile 2018 is a special edition of Football Manager 2018 developed by Sports Interactive, designed for smartphones and tablets. Unlike its original version, the game does not allow a player to experience 3D matches, features poorer database, and simplified interface. On the other hand, the game delivers all of the most important functions. This means that a player has to come up with tactics before each match, change the players, purchase and sell players, tend to the club’s budget, and use the help offered by the talent hunters. All this makes Football Manager Mobile 2018 a much more dynamic game, perfect for e.g. a break during the work; but it also offers many possibilities, which make the game one of the most advanced applications available on the market. The game has been published by Sega and is available at a much smaller price than Football Manager 2018 and Football Manager Touch 2018.

Developed by the Russian studio Cheerleaders, Distrust is an unusual, isometric survival horror, which mingles reality with hallucinations. The player assumes control of two survivors, who got stuck near an abandoned base in the arctic, as a result of a helicopter crash. The crash itself is only the beginning of their trouble, as a creature remains in the vicinity of the base - becoming a deadly threat to the characters. The player's goal is to save the characters, but in order to achieve this, it is necessary to obtain food and find warm shelter. Sleeping involves taking a risk, however, as the beast can attack, and on the other hand, lack of sleep will result in hallucinations, so one needs to balance their actions appropriately. Distrust utilizes the Unity 3D engine; as befits a survival horror, the game comes with a dense atmosphere that can terrify the player. The story is conveyed through animated and voiced-over cut-scenes.

Players follow the adventures of a botanist Mary Gilbert, who has to rescue her brother kidnapped by an evil sorcerer. Unfortunately, the antagonist not only poses a threat to the main protagonist's brother but also to the entire world, and the only chance of stopping him lies in Mary and her companion Aitwara – a house spirit. On their adventure, the player gets to travel to a fantasy land of Clouders, located on the other side of the rainbow. The gameplay formula does not deviate much from the one featured in other HOPA games and requires the player to visit consecutive locations and look for hidden objects. The game is relatively easy; however, in case of any difficulties, one can use the hint system. Another aspect, which diversifies the experience is the set of various logic puzzles. Eventide 3: Legacy of Legends delivers high-quality visuals.

The game takes place during the Edo period and revolves around a wizard sent to a stronghold that serves as a prison for the enemies of the shogunate. Somehow he manages to free himself and take control of the whole building. The player controls a four-person group of warriors sent to stop the mage. The game is based on old school dungeon crawlers from the late 80s and early 90s. It features a first-person perspective view, jump-based movement system, the possibility to turn around only by 90 degrees and a real-time combat system. The possibility to split the team into two groups is an interesting addition. In such case each group can be controlled separately. This is useful both during combat and when solving riddles.

OPUS: Rocket of Whispers takes place in the universe created for the game OPUS: The Day We Found Earth – in a distant future, where the humanity scattered across the whole galaxy. The player is taken to the surface of a planet whose population was decimated by a mysterious plague. The protagonists – John and Fei – are tasked with constructing a rocket that will take the remains of their deceased beloved to the stars. The action is presented with a top-down perspective and the gameplay focuses on exploration of the ice-covered planet and gathering of parts required for building the space vehicle. Visual-novel-style conversations between John and Fei are an important aspect of the game as well. The title features two-dimensional graphics and atmospheric soundtrack composed by Triodust, the author of the music for the previous game.
