Litil Divil combines arcade elements with some aspects of logic games. The game was created by Gremlin Software and the player assumes the role of Mutt - a devil whose goal is to leave hell and make it to the Earth. To make his dream come true, Mutt has to make his way through a maze filled with traps and various dangers. The gameplay here was divided into two segments. The first constitutes of exploration of the maze, during which the player must remain very cautious. Still however, the protagonist can heal himself using special vials found on the way. Solving various puzzles is the second of the aforementioned segments, and those are located in sealed rooms. No tips were included, thus the process can sometimes be problematic. Puzzles require the player to manipulate various items which can be purchased in shops scattered throughout hell. The experience is complemented by a ribald sense of humor and the game offers colorful, two-dimensional visuals that make a good match with eye-pleasing animations.
