Fire Emblem Warriors is a spin-off of the popular jRPG series Fire Emblem that was released on Nintendo Switch. The game that was created by Omega Force and Nintendo is quite different from what we could see in the series' previous installments. Instead of a turn-based tactical RPG, we get a fantasy hack'n'slash that uses the series' characteristic elements and characters, and throwing in only a couple of RPG elements. In terms of gameplay, Fire Emblem Warriors uses mechanics similar to those from the Dynasty Warriors game series.

An action-adventure game with survival-oriented gameplay, developed by Ion Lands studio. The player assumes the role of ION, a robot designed to search for resources in remote areas of the galaxy. During one of such travels, his ship malfunctions and crashes on a dangerous alien world. Our job is to survive and find a way to contact the base. Fortunately, ION is supported by the ship AI, as well as ANI, an encountered female repair unit. In Phoning Home, the action is seen from a third person perspective, while the world has an open structure – during our journeys, we traverse forests, canyons, and deserts, or even visit the bottom of the ocean. The planet is full of various dangers – even if ION is resistant to attacks, ANI is much more vulnerable. If we want to defend her, we are often forced to stave off enemies, lay various traps, or sneak outside of their range. The game contains an extensive crafting module, allowing the player to create new items and various upgrades.

Developed by Wiking Entertainment, an adventure action title prepared for VR googles. The production tells a story about the crew of the spaceship Sentra, which has been sent to the Red Planet with the objective of retrieving the remains of the Phobos, a research probe. Once they got there, they find remnants of an alien civilization that come back to life due to contact with humans. The backbone of Unearthing Mars is exploration, but you will also have to display different skills – during gameplay, you shoot, solve logic puzzles, and control a rover or a lander. Even though the initial moments are realistic, further into the story more fantastic elements emerge, such as war machines constructed by the legendary Martians. The title uses the power of Unreal Engine 4, which makes the game it look amazing.

An arcade sport game from Story Fort studio, offering a truly peculiar version of basketball. Creators of Dunk Lords were inspired by unusual sports games from the previous century, mainly the NBA Jam series. Instead of regular basketball matches, we receive a spectacular and quite brutal game, in which two teams of five players use supernatural powers. We can choose from sixteen diversified players (both humans and strange mutants), each with unique talents. They can also attack opponents, which more often than not turns out to be more important than scoring points. As if that wasn’t enough to heat up the game, playgrounds themselves are filled with obstacles and traps. Dunk Lords offers story campaign in single player and cooperative variants, as well as multiplayer for up to four people.

An original mixture of a platformer and a metroidvania game, developed by Villa Gorilla - a small Swedish studio. The game is set on Mokunama - an island where the player meets the protagonist - a sympathetic beetle. Working as a postman, he stumbles upon traces of a serious affair, the victim of which is an ancient divine being that had been taking care of the land. The insect's goal is to find a way to wake up the sleeping guardian in order to bring peace and order back to the island. What distinguishes Yoku's Island Express from other games of this kind, is that the developer borrowed elements of pinball. The beetle rolls a ball in front of himself - thanks to that ball, he can bounce off flippers installed in the environment in order to reach places difficult to access. The game is played from a side view and the core of the experience is made up of platforming elements, such as exploring, avoiding traps, eliminating adversaries or collecting valuable items.

A sports arcade game from the developers of popular MMO title EVE Online, intended for virtual reality devices. Sparc lets us take part in the eponymous sports discipline resembling the classic game of dodgeball. The players take static positions at the opposing ends of a long hallway and try to hit the opponent with the ball using motion controllers. Being stuck in one place doesn’t mean we can’t dodge by moving our body. Because of that and the realistic physics system, the ricochets from walls, floor and ceiling play a key role in the game, as they can be used to deceive opponents and increase the chance of hitting them. Sparc has been developed with multiplayer for two players in mind. The game also offers solo options, such as training, and social aspects, e.g. virtual spectators. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and requires virtual reality headset along with motion controllers that register the users’ gestures.

When the evil crab Hermitron, aided by the bureaucrat Harold, prepares himself to take over the underwater land, it is our job to help the citizens of Coral Kingdom in bringing back peace and order. Snailboy: Rise of Hermitron is a typical side-scrolling platformer. Gameplay focuses on venturing through locations by jumping from one platform to another, and on fighting with the encountered enemies. During our adventures we will use our hero's unusual abilities. He can not only jump, but also stick to the environmental elements, and is more than good at firing magic missiles. Power-ups, located here and there through out the locations, will also be helpful in saving our skin.

A remake of Dear Esther, a popular narrative exploration game from 2012 that started a whole new genre – the so-called walking simulators. It was developed by the independent studio The Chinese Room. Contrary to the base version of the game that was powered by the Source engine and released only on personal computers, this edition is powered by the Unity technology. This enabled the developers to release their game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as well. The new version introduces completely new sounds, including the developers’ commentary that can be played during the game. In Dear Esther: Landmark Edition the player calmly travels through locations (the action is presented in a first-person perspective) and gradually discovers new pieces of the story. The plot is presented in the form of letters to the titular Esther, which are read by a mysterious male voice. Since the game lacks any interactions with the environment, it caused many discussions about whether it is still a video game or simply an interactive experience.

Developed by a one-man studio called Wizard Fu Games, Songbringer is an RPG drawing its inspiration from The Legend of Zelda video game series. In the game, the player assumes the role of a hero, who travels throughout the galaxy on board of a space ship accompanied by a former programmer, who, before his death, transferred his consciousness to a so-called skybot. After the main protagonists find a mysterious sword in one of the caves and wake the ancient evil, it is up to them to prevent the outbreak of a large-scale galactic war. The players observe the action from the top-down perspective, and the gameplay revolves around exploration, discovering the in-game secrets, and fighting numerous foes. On their journey, the player is bound to encounter both minor adversaries and powerful bosses. During the game, one does not acquire experience points - in order to develop their character, the player has to eliminate consecutive enemies and collect ancient artifacts. To do this more efficiently, the player can use the abilities of the main protagonist's companion, who can scan enemy bodies in search for valuable items.

The player is once again taken to the magical world of Arcanus Cella, which is a base of operations for heroes that set out on expeditions to dangerous dungeons. This time, the game begins at the end of the Sengoku period in Japan, when the country was brought to its knees by internal wars and rebellions. Damned souls are taken to Arcanus Cella - those cannot enter the path of reincarnation until they have taken care of their unfinished, earthly business. The player's goal is to help them, which requires one to explore dungeons characteristic for the franchise, filled with monsters, traps, powerful bosses, but also valuable artifacts. In combat, the player uses different melee and ranged weapons, such as katanas, warhammers, staves, bows or shurikens. Special abilities and features form a variety of character classes, both common, such as the Swordsman or the Mage, and more exotic professions, such as the Saint, the Priest, or the Onmyoji. The player-controlled character can by supported by their teammates thanks to the Magic Circle system being implemented in this installment as well. Arcade, Hotseat, Multiplayer, Pinball, Singleplayer.
An arcade pinball that attempts to reintroduce the spirit of classic coin-operated flippers manufactured by Stern, a North American pinball manufacturer with over 40 years of development history. The game was developed by FarSight Studios – the authors managed to introduce classic tables and legacy ROMs based on the original code, as well as detailed walkthroughs for each device. When it comes to mechanics, the game is a classic flipper – our task is to keep the ball on the table using two mechanical paws called flipper bats. Each table contains additional ramps and bumpers that offer score bonuses and multipliers when hit. The basic version of Stern Pinball Arcade contains a single table named Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein – other tables are unlocked through paid DLCs. Aside from a large choice of tables, the game contains a local multiplayer mode. The game is characteristic for its high-quality yet dated style and realistic gameplay based on an advanced physics engine.

Developed by FireFly Studios – the team responsible for creating the Stronghold series - MetaMorph is an original hybrid of a dungeon crawler, an action game, and a real-time strategy game. In the game, the players get to travel to a fantastical world, where people lead a charming life until the Death himself arrives to collect the harvest of blood. During the game, the player assumes the role of a daredevil, who ventures into the vast labyrinths in order to find the Grim Reaper and put an end to his efforts. One observes the action from a top-down perspective, allowing for a better perspective on the exploration of the dungeons and fighting numerous adversaries. Due to the countless traps and large enemy numbers, one has to think on their feet and timely adjust their strategies. What distinguishes MetaMorph from similar games are the abilities possessed by the main protagonist, who, during his adventures, collects the souls of the fallen heroes that grant him unique skills. Moreover, during combat, a player can transform his character into one of these heroes.

NBA Playgrounds is an arcade sports game inspired by the NBA Street game series. It was developed by Saber Interactive, a studio mostly known for their futuristic first-person shooters like TimeShift and Inversion. In NBA Playgrounds, players take part in basketball matches. Even though the gameplay is based on classic rules, it has not much to do with reality. The players can jump incredibly high and do various tricks during those jumps. Nonetheless, mastering all of the game's twists, turns and moves takes some time. It has to be mentioned that the developers managed to acquire the official NBA license. Thanks to that, we can play as both current and old NBA stars. As we win, the players get new abilities, which allows them to do more complicated sport stuns. NBA Playgrounds can be played both in single player and multiplayer modes. The game has characteristic cartoonish visuals. Characters available in the game are caricatures of sorts of the real NBA players, and various lighting effects are present during our matches. All of this goes well with NBA Playground's gameplay.

Forge of Glory is a multiplayer-focused mobile action RPG developed by the Russian studio Kefir!. Story is not that important in Forge of Glory. The game takes us to a fantasy world where we can face either forces of evil or other players. We observe the action from an isometric point of view. During our adventures we explore more and more locations and fight with the encountered enemies, gradually leveling up our character. In time, we are joined by more powerful heroes and fantastic beasts. We can use their powers and abilities in combat. Combat system in Forge of Glory is based on the match-3 mechanics known from the many logical games. Battles take place on boards filled with crystals. We attack by making chains of at least three gems of the same color We can expand and improve our settlement between the battles and, in time, turn it into a real fortress.

Running with Rifles: Pacific is an expansion pack for a tactical action game released for PC in 2015, entitled Running with Rifles. The add-on takes the player to one of the fronts of the World War II, namely the Pacific War. The game’s developer took care to faithfully recreate both actual armament and gear used in the period as well as uniforms worn by soldiers of the U.S. Army and Japan at that time. Besides, players are thrown into battlefields which are based on islands where actual military operations were taking place in 1940s. Not only their names match, but also do details and the topography of the terrain. Although the original gameplay mechanics did not change – Running with Rifles: Pacific is still a top-down shooter with elements of tactics, such as commanding a squad or taking cover – the new setting provides quite a different experience.

An economic strategy game in which the player manages a virtual aquarium. As usually in games of this genre, the player starts with a small business, limited premises and modest funds on the virtual account. Gradually earned money is invested into expansion of the aquarium, new species and taking care of the animals bought previously. All of that increases player’s popularity and income. Megaquarium features a large variety of fish types, each with unique needs that must be taken care of for the business to remain profitable. The player must also hire workers, maintain their happiness and develop their skills. Unhappy employee will leave the company and the player will lose resources invested in their training. Employees, visitors and fish are partially unpredictable, forcing the player to frequently look for ways to control the situation when having only limited impact on the events.

A battle strategy game with card game features. It was developed by French studio Gameloft. It focuses on real-time multiplayer battles between two players. Each player has a general placed in one of the special buildings located on opposite ends of the map. The game ends when one of the players loses their general. To protect him and to eliminate the opponent, the player is using cards from his deck to summon new units. Their march is slowed down by guard towers placed between the bunkers of the generals. The key to victory is to correctly match units to tasks and enemies. Cards that provide special powers and bonuses are important as well. All of it makes creating a versatile deck the main task of the game. Blitz Brigade: Rival Tactics offers nice, cartoonish graphics. Although the game shares its title with a shooter known simply as Blitz Brigade, it has completely different gameplay.
