Metal Gear is an action game that at first glance brings associations with classic shooters such as Commando or Ikari Warriors. However, unlike Konami products, they are more focused on surveillance activities, not necessarily manifested by the constant use of weapons. A well-equipped and deadly enemy is better to avoid "quietly" than to enter into an open fight.

War in the Pacific: The Struggle Against Japan 1941-1945

PC

July 9, 2004

Strategy, Multiplayer, PBeM, Singleplayer, Turn-based.

A World War II turn-based strategy game created by 2BY3 Games. War in the Pacific: The Struggle Against Japan 1941-45 revolves around the war between United States and Japan over the Pacific Ocean area. The game reuses Uncommon Valor engine, which powered the previous game of the studio, but the new installment is much more complicated, expanding available military operations beyond sea battles and including also land and air combat. Similarly to the said predecessor, the game focuses on realism, and pays much attention to small details. Unlike most strategy games, units are not a constant value – the seamen, airmen, or infantrymen all gather experience, and experience fatigue, while each commander has their strong points, as well as weaknesses. War in the Pacific contains 15 diversified campaigns, and remains easy-to-use despite being an unforgiving, complex game.

War Plan Orange: Dreadnoughts in the Pacific 1922-1930

PC

November 23, 2005

Strategy, Multiplayer, PBeM, Singleplayer, Turn-based.

A turn-based strategy created by 2BY3 Games - a developer that specializes in the genre. Contrary to the majority of the studio's previous games, War Plan Orange: Dreadnoughts in the Pacific 1922-1930 does not recreate any historical events. Instead, the game offers a completely fictional scenario that presents an alternative course of the war between the United States and Japan (involves other allied countries as well), which takes place in the Pacific. Naval forces play the key part here, with a special emphasis placed on powerful battleships and cruisers. The game features two main campaigns - one is set in the years 1922-26, and the second extends that period up until 1930; also, 8 additional scenarios, which can be played either solo or in the multiplayer. Despite the fact that the game presents a fictional conflict, the developer recreated authentic units from the period, including certain ships that in reality, never left the early stage of construction.

A third-person perspective action game with RPG elements, developed by Yukio Futatsugi – the creator of the popular Panzer Dragoon series. This is a remake of the 2005's game released on the first Xbox console, which features brand new visuals along with refurbished gameplay mechanics. The action takes place in a post-apocalyptic world of the future, in which the surface of the planet is covered in a mysterious dust. In the outcome, a group of chosen ones acquires supernatural abilities which make them the only people in the world who can face the creatures roaming the devastated Earth. Gameplay largely comes down to dynamic combat with monsters. During gameplay, the main hero develops and obtains new abilities, which are a plenty in the game. Apart from the single player campaign, in which you can talk to NPCs and embark on dangerous missions, there is also a huge multiplayer mode.
