What’s interesting, for the first time in the history of the series, it is possible to play with other people not only on a single console, but through Internet as well. Between the fights fought on three-dimensional arenas the players are taken to a virtual lobby where they can check out various minigames. The title features simple graphics inspired by its manga and TV inspirations.

The story presented in Time Recoil starts in 1987, where the main protagonist lands due to a time paradox. During the game she must complete a series of missions in the past. This will enable her to change the timeline, save no-longer living allies, obtain lost documents and eliminate important persons before they become a threat. The final objective is to kill Mr. Time who controls a time-based weapon of mass destruction. The female protagonist can move and aim in all directions. When an enemy is killed, the time slows down. The longer the killing chain, the longer this “bullet time” is active. This mechanics introduce a more puzzle approach to shootouts – the player is trying to combine kills in order to finish their actions before the enemies understand what is going on.

During the game the player is slowly improving his unit by upgrading its statistics and by unlocking better functions. The controls and aiming are action-focused and the battles are very fast-paced. There are bases of both sides on the map – destroying opponent’s command center is one of the ways for achieving victory. Another way is to take over all control points. There are radar stations on the battlefields, conquering them enables the player to check enemy movement. There are research structures as well - they enable the player to upgrade their tank faster.

Another one of the numerous expansions to the popular turn-based strategy game Europa Universalis IV developed by Paradox Development Studio. Cradle of Civilization focuses on expanding features related to the Middle East and Muslim empires. It introduces many new solutions like new types of governments, the possibility to create Muslim schools that enable the player to increase their diplomatic power and the possibility to create trading policies by assigning missions to the merchants – the missions aren’t necessarily focused on earning money. The list of key novelties is supplemented by: greater influence over the army (for example, it is possible to create military discipline) and the option to abuse specific provinces (easy money is balanced by slower development in long term). All of it is based on the same technology as the one used in the base game and it doesn’t introduce any novelties to graphics or sounds of the game.

A unique action-adventure game developed by an independent Chinese studio Spotlightor Interactive. The player assumes the role of the titular candle that can burn for only ten seconds. This flame is the only weapon of the protagonist during the long and dangerous journey to find the far away light. The gameplay mechanics of Candleman are based on principles of three-dimensional platform games. The player is traveling through locations, jumping between platforms and avoiding traps and dangers – all while solving environmental riddles based on light and shadow mechanics. Due to the fact that during majority of the game the player moves in darkness, the key to success lies in good usage of protagonist’s ability to light up his imminent surroundings in order to find the exit. Other candles encountered during the journey can be helpful as well. The game features attractive, dark graphics that – together with atmospheric soundtrack – create an unusual mood.

The retro visuals are bound to remind one of old, 8- and 16-bit productions; however, developers from Aist studio made sure to make their game more straightforward – DreamBreak features a number of facilitations aimed at minimizing the level of player frustration. The players can also create their own variations of the gameplay based on their personal preferences.

Even though the battlefields are mostly filled with hordes of minor adversaries, the player is bound to encounter bosses much more powerful than the rest of the enemies. Hellgate VR has been designed exclusively for Virtual Reality headgear - during the game, one can freely move around the environment and look around by moving their head. The game has been based on Unreal Engine 4, which allowed the developers to deliver high-quality visuals. Moreover, the grim atmosphere of the game is well-complemented with poor lighting and dark colors of the visited locations.

Apart from the necessity to get familiar with each track, victory is achieved through making a good use of tools that can make winning harder for the opponents, such as cannons or missile launchers. Collecting the power-ups scattered throughout the track is an important aspect as well, as they can instantly fix one's ride or refill the ammunition. Crashday offers seven kinds of competitions, namely Race, Wrecking Match, Stunt Mode, Hold The Flag, Pass The Bomb, Bomb Run and Test Drive. These are complemented by a complex track editor (one can share tracks they have created with others via Steam Workshop), and a multiplayer mode, which gives an opportunity to compete against up to seven players. Those who prefer the single player experience can launch the career mode, special challenges and single races. Compared to the original version, the game offers improved visuals. As in the original Crashday, competition is intensified through listening to tracks by such musicians as Lowbuz, Peter Struck or Pencilcase.

A basic match sees us throw and deflect white balls – to win, one of the players has to place all of his balls on the opponent’s side or hit the opponent enough times to drain their health bar. The matches are diversified by various modifiers, such as bombs or obstacles that appear on the play field. Penguin Wars offers solo gameplay or multiplayer modes for up to 4 players, playing either one on one or two on two. Moreover, we offered a campaign that depicts the story featuring individual characters. The game is characteristic for its appealing, colorful visuals and catchy soundtrack with both new and remastered tracks.

Galaxy of Pen & Paper is another installment of the humorous RPG series from the Behold studio. Just like the previous games, Galaxy of Pen & Paper simulates a tabletop RPG session by reenacting the players' and game master's behavior and the events of the campaign they are playing. Unlike its predecessors, the game uses a science fiction setting. Virtual players and their characters explore the galaxy, do quests, and take part in turn-based battles. They will have to face not only small groups of enemies, but also whole squadrons of spaceships. During their adventures, both the virtual players and their characters will level up, increase their stats, and gain access to new abilities. Players will also be able to modify and upgrade their vessels. Galaxy of Paper & Paper features old-school, pixelart visuals.

Another installment of Everybody’s Golf, a series that accompanies various Sony consoles. Similarly to previous entries in the series, the new Everybody’s Golf is an arcade sports game for golf fans. Although the gameplay is much more accessible than in simulators, fully learning how to play it takes much time because the golf fields are controlled by realistic physics. Everybody’s Golf introduces several novelties in comparison to the previous entries. The first one is character development and customization. At first the player determines the look and clothes of their character and then they improve the character's abilities by completing specific tasks. Another important novelty are the fully open golf fields. The player can freely move, run or even drive through them in a special vehicle. In addition to single player mode, Everybody’s Golf for {PLAT} offers multiplayer modes. There are many gameplay modes available: competition, cooperation, and optional special tasks.
