A simple strategy game developed by Arc System Works. In the game, the player gets to control a group of pioneers with the task to establish a flourishing settlement and tend to the settlers’ needs. As the game begins, the player has at his disposal only one building and several servants, who have to be assigned particular jobs, like gathering resources, in order to expand the settlement. Further on the list of available structures, one can find production structures (mills, farms, factories), and utility buildings, which, among others, increase the population limits. Settlers can also domesticate animals, which in turn support our pioneers in hunting and transportation, serving, for example, as faithful steeds. As the game progresses, the player receives so-called Invention Cards, which allow them to modify given gameplay aspects, such as harvesting speed. New Frontier Days: Founding Pioneers offers three diverse game modes – Story Mode, Survival Mode, and Free Mode. The entire experience delivers eye-pleasing visuals, featuring a cartoonish style.

Developed by an indie developer David O’Reilly, Everything generates worlds, which you can watch from any perspective you like. Each universe can be observed in both micro and macro scale. You start playing in a particular place of a procedurally generated world, but the rest is completely up to you – you are free to take control of a single atom, animal, or object, and focus on its immediate whereabouts, or control an entire planet, star or even galaxy. The gameplay has no specific goal – what you do and why you do it is your choice. As you jump between different elements of the universe you create its encyclopedia – objects that you discover are catalogued, after which you can view them in a special menu. All that is complemented by decent graphics and atmospheric soundtrack as well as lectures of the philosopher Alan Watts. Interestingly, Everything is the first video game in history nominated for Oscar in the Best Animated Short Film thanks to its several-minute trailer – that film had also won jury’s award at Vienna Shorts Festival.

A strategy game enriched with elements of life simulation and survival, created by T4 Interactive - a Brazilian developer. The player assumes control of a group of settlers called Lings - taking on the role of a manager of a newly created village, the player has to make sure it develops properly, and cater for their subordinates (providing them with housing, clothing, food and income sources). The action takes place on diverse maps and the core of the experience is constituted by gathering resources and constructing buildings - one should also remember, that it is important to create roads, as they make communication more effective, allow the inhabitants to move faster, as well as improve the entire production processes. However, an important part is also played here by the game's complex crafting system, as the player can create over 150 items. The player's subordinates have their own preferences and fall into different moods; arguments caused by poor mood often turn into larger rifts. Additional threats are posed by aggressive fantasy creatures and intense changing weather conditions. If the player fails at sustaining their village, they can sell it at any time and start over.

A city builder strategy game developed by Plethora-Project, a small studio comprising a dozen or so members. Unlike many similar games, Block’hood focuses on ecology and constructing in harmony with the nature, using safe and renewable energy sources. Moreover, the player’s actions are limited to micro scale, restricting his construction site to a single estate. The titular blocks are the building materials - like a 3D jigsaw puzzle, each unit complements the whole structure. It is crucial for the player to learn the dependencies between particular blocks. One has to optimize their production, which is based on 20 different resources, as well as tend to the inhabitants’ needs - this means both humans and animals, who all live in a symbiotic relationship. Block’hood offers several game modes, such as the Story Mode, which introduces the players to the gameplay mechanics, Education mode that teaches players about modern technologies, the Challenge mode, and finally, the Sandbox mode, in which one can develop his structures with no limitations and practice his skills as a modern architect.

An economic strategy game from the so-called city builder genre, created by a small studio Sergio & Simon. The game is set in a medieval fantasy world that is randomly generated. In Hearthlands we play as a ruler of a small kingdom who basically owns only the lands around their castle. Our goal is to develop our fief and make sure that our people are safe and live in prosperity. In order to do that we construct new buildings, make sure that goods are distributed properly, and research new technologies. Freedom that the gameplay offers is this game's strong point. It allows us to turn our city into a true stronghold, a trading metropolis or a small town, whose main source of income is fishing. If we can't have good relations with our neighbors, we need to have a strong army which can consist of our citizen or, what is typical for this genre, heroes. However, in order to craft equipment we need to have a sufficient amount of resources.

The player takes the role of Philip J. Fry, a pizza delivery boy from New York, who accidentally gets frozen in a cryogenic chamber and wakes up a thousand years later. The backbone of Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is the development of futuristic New York, which involves gathering resources, erecting buildings, and managing finances. Exploring the galaxy and its planets on the deck of a spaceship plays also an important role. Both of these feature enemies – space battles look like classic shooters, while combat on the surface of a planet is turn-based. The title stars the characters from the cartoon – you collect them and upgrade by improving their statistics and unlocking new skills.

An experimental adventure game with exploration elements created by two independent developers: Mez Breeze and Andy Campbell. The main protagonist of All the Delicate Duplicates is John - a computer scientist and a single father of Charlotte, who accompanies him on his adventure. One day, the man receives some mysterious items - journals and sketches - as an inheritance from an enigmatic relative of his - Mo. After some time, our characters discover that the objects they inherited, and now keep at the attic, feature some unusual properties that affect both their surroundings and memories. During the game, the players observe the action from the first-person perspective, and the gameplay itself revolves around the exploration of diverse surreal locations and logical puzzles solving. Consecutive plot sequences are revealed after the main protagonist reads texts and site-specific notes, which he finds on his way to discover the secret of mysterious inheritance. Because of a rather short playthrough and the nonlinear nature of the game, one might classify it as an interactive experience, rather than a typical video game.

A unique mix of an RPG and a match-3 logic game characteristic for its contents, periodically released in the form of episodes. Ticket to Earth takes place in a distant future in one of the space colonies established by humanity. An unexpected catastrophe forces the inhabitants to evacuate back to Earth. Unfortunately, the only means of evacuation is a single starliner that can hold only a small portion of the citizens. A riot breaks out, while the colony itself is under attack from peacekeeping robots, bandits, and aggressive mutants. The player assumes control of a group of four heroes that attempt to discover the truth behind the unexpected downfall of the colony. The action of the game is seen from an isometric perspective. The campaign is divided into missions that see us take part in turn-based encounters on a board covered by a square grid with tiles marked with different symbols. Stepping on a field bolsters the attached ability. As a result, the key to success lies in crossing as many fields as possible with one move, which is rewarded with useful bonuses. Aside from the above, the authors have introduced an extensive skill tree of a hundred abilities divided between four schools. The game is characteristic for its colorful visuals and animated cut-scenes.
