The first big expansion for the mythological RTS from 2024. In Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars we end up in Ancient China and there's a brand new campaign available. This DLC includes new gods and new types of units related to China and many of them offer unique powers.

Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars is the first add-on to the real-time strategy game titled Age of Mythology: Retold. The expansion was developed by the authors of the base version of the game, namely World’s Edge and Forgotten Empires studios, as well as Virtuos Games and Tantalus Media.

New features in the expansion

Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars enriches the original product with elements related to Chinese mythology. The add-on brings a story campaign consisting of 9 missions, throughout which we get to know the culture and myths of the Middle Kingdom.

Additionally, 12 new beasts appear here, among which we can find the cruel Nuwa, the patron of war with a bull's head called Chi You, or even the drought-heralding Nuba. Each of the gods has individual powers and provides us with access to unique armies. There are mythical units such as Yazi, Zhuque and Taowu. They are equipped with abilities that, if used properly, can change the fate of the battle.

The finishing touch to all of this are maps inspired by Chinese landscapes.

Age of Mythology: Retold - Immortal Pillars is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base version of the game Age of Mythology: Retold.
